I saw the Roger Waters "Dark Side of the Moon" show on Saturday at Hyde Park.

Not bad, pretentious and overtly political though... and dare I say it, a bit boring in places.

Really wish I could have seen the Who there the next day there but had commitments.

Roll on the ABB Europe tour.. fingers crossed the Milan show goes off without a hitch.

And PLEASE... no moaning about set lists when it does. We're lucky they're around at all!!

yeah, i bought it. it's good.
i don't know if non-French-speakers need to race to import it
but when it shows up in a non-import version ... go for it!
the remastering of the old footage is well done, and three additional numbers (well, one number and two fragments)
are beautiful to have - in particular Mercy Mercy and the start of Stray Cat.
i wish i could turn off the French subtitles, and i wish there were English subtitles in the Philip Manoeuvre interview,
and the other extra is pretty weird: "Rolling With the Stones", which turns out to be a truncated version of Charlie Is My Darling
plus an odd assortment of 60s and 70s interviews - but those are side issues. it's good. go for it.

(meanwhile the anniversary is tomorrow, actually ... but never mind!)

I'm not getting a DVD. I bought a VHS tape of it and the sound quality of the concert was so terrible, I don't think a DVD would do much good.

Legendary show, though. Even if everyone was out of tune and Mick was acting redicoulus. The images of the hippies alone make it worth watching.

After nearly one year of begging, asking and waiting the Austrian Radio Station 88.6 played the full-length version of "Sympathy for the Devil - Hyde Park" on july 5th - 37 years after the show in the Park. (I brought them the track, of course). It was just great to hear that on the radio!!!
