consider yourself lucky - I've been trying my best not to picture that scenario for the last 2 hours!!

Actually, "Lick My Nutsack" will be the Stones' next single. A fan club only release to express their true feelings for the fans. I do not want to see the video for that one!

The Stones owe us NOTHING, people. Get over it ! Let them do what they want with their lives...they deserve to. Meanwhile, some here are a bit too obsessed with the band and need to get on with their own lives , too!

"How can you cancel something that has never been announced officially...??"

It was mentioned here:

"The Rolling Stones concerts that were originally announced to take place in the following cities, are postponed, and new show date information will be announced shortly: Barcelona, Madrid (Spain), Brussels (Belgium), Gothenburg (Sweden), St. Petersburg (Russia), Brno (Czech Republic), Warsaw (Poland), Athens (Greece), Zagreb (Croatia) and Frankfurt (Germany)."

Welll Ticketpro.CZ was very quick with e-mail about the postponment of BRNO as soon as the official word came out of the Stones Camp. But now that I hear it is cancelled, they have not mailed, they have not responded to an e-mail asking about it, and their website makes no mention. I have no reason to doubt that its true, but someone please tell me from whom we got the info on BRNO cancelling and is it is reliable.

And I am guessing that whoever posted about internal problems with the group being the reason, I am guessing you are right. With millions of dollars already down the tubes, I am guessing tension between everyone involved is at a level not seen since the 80's. In fact, despite all the rumours, I would not be surpised if all of Europe 2007 is cancelled and the North Am shows do not appear this fall.

Will the North American tour 2006 happen????? Nothing is set yet!

It's starting to seem like some of the gossip and rumors out there are a more accurate indication of what actually will happen than parts of these official press release statements.

Well BV has pulled down all the proposed shows for 2007...no more even rumoured. All them.

I just read it with saddnes as it could mean the end of Stones live in Europe after Horsens. But it is too early to tell. It just says the delayed shows are cancelled.

Sorry- I didn't have the chance to read all the posts here, so apologies if someone has already said this:
First- I KNOW this situation is disappointing, frustrating even enfuriating- but, for the Stones to even undertake a massive world tour at this stage in their career was a 'gamble' to say the least.
I would rather have the guys around to make more great records (& maybe do a few smaller shows)- than to kill themselves trying to do World tours.
Also- regarding shows in 2007-has anyone considered the fact that Charlie said he would do no more 'globe-trotting' after the end of this year?. The guy has been treated (hopefully successfully) for a life-threatening illness & HE is the only one who's played consistantly well for the entire tour.
So- there is a possibility that Charlie has 'stuck to his guns'- he didn't want to do this tour in the first place!. Sorry to say it guys- but if you do get shows in 2007- I doubt if Charlie will be there & I don't blame him.

I do....eleven rescheduled shows in 2007 which they were suposed to play this year wont exactly tax them too physically. Its 3 weeks long and its a year away. Just play the bloody things. End of argument

I have e-mail from the Brno people also now that informs me that even with e-tickets over the net that were never deliverd. I will need to contact then after July 12 WITH THE ORDER NUMBER to get refunded. It is not automatic.

The Greek sales people say in resposne form an e-mail that they are still waiting for an announcement and as soon as they get one they will e-amil.

If they perform San Siro Milan in 13 days from now then I am sure they will tour for the rest of the year, as planned. Anything after that will be a bonus as it seems.

If they perform? Do you expect more problems?

BV, I've read your posts about winter European tour not making sense money wise. But do You think it is not possible at all? Not necesarily for the money but for the fans and their (bands) prestige. With all those cancellations it would make perfect sense for me. I'm not saying they owe us but they made promises to do those shows (by making promises I mean announcing the shows and selling the tickets for them).

I think what he means is "the fact that theyre performing in 13 days from now..." etc

Its a figure of speech, I dont think its an expression of doubt over this summer's shows...

I hope..lol

Could it be that the rescheduling business is obstructed by local promotors or stadium-owners? Maybe they're not into planning/confirming right into summer 2007 at this stage (they usally do it only six months in advance, December or so). Or the insecurity involved with booking the Stones right now is too much for them/they will not take the financial risk. Earning money from a Stones tour is known as not being easy.

If this is the case it has nothing to do with the Stones, it's the promotors that have objections.

Anyway, if this.... if that....
