Do you really think it will happen? Personally I don't. Maybe there will be other tours but not in 2007. I think it is just s dream.....

I think that if they were going to cancel the postponed shows,it would have already been done.If they wanted an excuse,they had one to use.

your levels of optimism and pessimism seem to change dramatically from one day to the next!

My personal guess is that, yes, there will be a European tour in the summer of 2007. There will be extra shows on top of those that are already due to be rescheduled, and that while some wont take place, they'll play a small number of arena shows instead.

If they DONT come back in 2007, I dont think they ever will. They'll have no audience left in Europe if they cancel the whole tour. That said, I dont expect there to be another Stones tour after 2007 anyway.

That's a sad statement. Yet, it's quite amazing....2007 !!
I remember when it was late 80s, and RS were old men, but amazingly with plenty of energy!

no, they cant even complete this tour how in the hell can next year be talked about, it could maybe happen if they get rolling again after july 11, but it does not seem so at this time, lets face it the age factor is there, its almost like they are relishing this extra break and dont want to return

I think they're gonna plan on a 2007 European Tour then fill in the rest of 2006/2007 with on/off touring. Come back to the US and Canada in autumn 2006 (After Hawaii the rest of Dec off), India, Thailand, some more Asian (maybe Australian) shows in Fall/Spring 2007(Jan, Feb, May off), and then hit Europe. Then...... That's it (except for one off shows here and there). If they scale down their tours for Charlie - say 1 month tours - they have to drop the big stage and go back to a 1970 stage set up - ain't gonna happen...

assuming health prevails, I see no reason they won't - I do think it will be the last (big) hurrah, though.....

I think it depends on how Keith feels... if he's up to it, it's possible... on the other hand Charlie is probably getting fairly road-weary.

" on how Keith feels..." physically and psychologically. Charlie has made up his mind one year ago. Key point is Mick : go or no go after 2007. I don't foresee this band touring 10 arenas in Europe / USA each year like any common band.

I think it's possible. Maybe not a big tour, but something like in 1999. Just a couple of shows. Maybe 6-7 of the rescheluded (i guess it would be very difficult to play all of them) plus 4-5 shows in Germany, England, Netherlands. I think they can do this.

I'm in full agreeement, especially with the second paragraph. If they don't do the 2007 thing, I really do think it's all over now - they'll have tested their audiences' patience way beyond any reasonable limit and those audiences will have deserted them in droves. There wouldn't be much reason for them to come back - ever !

i don't think so. if there will be a stones show anywhere in the world there will be more than enough people attending it.

I think they have pushed Europe to the brink with prices and cancellations. I,m amazed that they retained a mass audience in the UK after the 1998 "outrage".

Personally they have done it to me again. I'm already arguing with the wife about booking next years holidays :

"So,we can't go in may,june OR july,just in case they decide to tour !" AND

"Bon Jovi never cause this much trouble" . Give me strength !

Do you seriously believe that the Stones are going to do nothing for 6 months and then just bring themselves and their massive crew back to Europe for six or seven shows? Not a chance. They wouldnt get out of bed for that.

1999 was entirely different. When the UK shows were postponed in June 1998, they were rescheduled for June 1999 - and it was just four concerts. At the time of the postponement, the BTB tour was due to end in September 1998.

By the time the shows took place in June 1999, the band had added an extra 35 American dates in the spring plus another 6 or 7 in Europe.

Probably. Until he decided to finish the 'Seeger sessions' album he said that had not only a new E-Street band album close to being finished but was also preparing a "Tracks Vol. 2" boxed set

I'd expect an E-Street Band tour at some point in 2007.
