Make Europe priority no 1.......

Reading about rumours for concerts in Canada and USA
this fall.

I must say it's a bit sad to read.
The Stones should make Europe their primary priority
and make certain that the "Bigger Bang" finishes here first
of all and then turn into extensions into USA and Canada.

Think this is a rather natural demand from the European fans.
Certainly is mine!

We've bought tix as well as anybody in the world and we demand
to get a show and a reasonable good info about, where, when and how
the postponed concerts will be done!

I agree too.

After all the Stones are British but they're acting like they're Americans.

While I do love this website, I must admit I feel real uncomfortable now.

If Mr. Cohl had not stepped in when he did...where would the stones be now?

I disagree with keith.........it is about the money.

You sure don't have to. As a European, I deeply dislike the expression used in the prior post. Go back to the first post. Europeans are just waiting with a kind of impatience the future announcement of a potential 2007 European leg.

Ah, again, it's all about logistics. The US part of the tous was planned and booked long before Keith had his accident. So in stead of postponing the US Shows ans having to do the job all over again - they change as little as possible (except postponing the shows they were forced to - because of Keith's illness) and come back for the postponed shows next year. That shows they've NOT downgraded Europe. We get them two years in a row - and a lot more shows next year than th postponed ones. Wait and see. When you think about it - isn't this a good solution? Everybody must get out of their depressions now, and start enjoying summer and the up-comming Stones-tour! It's time to celebrate, people.

Now now Reptile better clean yourself up before your classmates beat you up on the playground again. I'll send you a ticket stub to wipe with from one of the shows I go to this fall.

Well that's assuming they will tour next year.
I assume that the boys might feel a bit weary after this long tour.
Summer tour 2007 might not happen after all!

I think that their top priority is to find the best way to do both. The North American tour was reportedly in the works before the incident in Fiji.It wouldn't make much sense for them to cause more problems for themselves than they already have.

Reading all the crap from European posters about how bad they play, how their setlists suck, and plently of other nonsense they should be thankful they are going to play there at all. Their thanks will be more bitching and whining after every show.

Europe have the Stones all summer. Stones tours in the winter does not make any sense in Europe. Leave the tour planning to Michael Cohl. He is a professional. Probably the best in the world. We are all amateurs. We go to shows but we don't have any clue about touring business in general.

Yeah so just because we are amateurs we are not allowed to have
an opinion? This is becoming more and more like we can't complain
about anything about the Stones before we are called amateurs and
other less worthy things.

Yeah if I was a professional I'd keep focus on the priority no 1.

Europe is not good to enough to run a winter tour in?
Lots of good places to play in the winter indoor I guess!
We still have some months of good weather ahead of us!

Crap posters? Well Steven I don't know about you but
there apparently some differencies in interest of
which song they should play. And I as good hearted fan
since way back can always say I'd like to hear some more
songs from recent years and mixed up with songs from the
past that is more interesting then for instance "Satisfaction".

I don't say that "Satisfaction" is a bad song. Just heard it over
and over all these tours.

If that opinion is whining then I hope the USA and Canada tours
become permanent and forget Europe!

Everone is entitled to their opinion. Now this is really mine.
And that I will stand for!

I may have an opinion on space ships or airplanes but I don't think anybody would pay attention to it when they would build one. Point is there are lots of industry known factors business related which makes sense if you know the trade but if you go by your heart sure you want candy every day not just Saturdays.

Maybe Cohl is the best in the world. For the artist. Making money is priority no 1 for him.
But of course the band has the final say. And I'm getting tired of this biased priority of the U.S. Even in a situation like this it seems more important to tour U.S. Despite 54 shows already at the ABB tour 2005-06.

Not all of us see several shows. In fact most most of us just see one show at every tour. I've seen the Stones every tour they've done in Sweden since 1973.
I was looking forward to the only show for me this time, in Gothenburg. Now I have to wait for one year. And I'm not even sure about that.

BV, you can have your opinion on space ships or airplanes and
me I have mine on the Stones.
As far as the candy insult you just wrote.
Fact is: I bought this candy (tic) for my own money and it's been
half a year ago since I did. So the little kid you're talking about is really
entitled to a delivery.
I'm not some stupid or retarded man, which I feel you treat me like right now!

It's all about money. People in europe will never pay what the stones are asking right now (see cancelled shows in germany and paris). Keith accident was a blessing for "superman" Cohl. Many shows were not sold out. Would have been bad publicity

I wouldn't take it that far!
Accidents happen and it's really sad that Keith had this one!
But still the priority is important!

The disrespect continually heaped upon the Stones has nothing to do with money. Now karma, that's an entirely different matter.

I havent seen several show either this tour, but im not whining about it. the fact is, the stones have hired cohl to promote them, and to make as much money possible. he doesnt give a damn what the fan thinks. its too bad, but thats the way it is. Its too bad you have to wait another year, God knows i counted down the day to my concert enough, and its hard. But s''t happens, and take it as it goes. See it from this perspective: at least keith isnt dead, and you will eventually see him. It will make the concert a whole lot better.

You guys are wailing and gnashing your teeth for no good reason. The band will make amends to the European fans.

Oh, ye of little faith -- sure, Cohl is looking at the bottom line, but as for the band itself, do you really think they are still in it just for the money?

The four core members are all independently wealthy now, so how could you possibly think they still have financial motives?

They continue doing it because they love playing. It's as simple as that.

Stop looking for ulterior motives -- they will continue as long as they have the desire to do it, and that's their sole motivation.

Too many of you still don't get it, and that boggles my mind.

It is sad what happened ot Keith and to European fans. I am going to see their concert this year because nothing is for sure about what will happen next year. Better to see them now than maybe next year. Everyone talks about rescheduling their concerts but who knows what will happen in the future. At first, their tour was supposed to be finished in December. Would they really start a tour in summer just for the Europeans? If the concerts did not sell so well as some seem sto say then, why would it sell better next year? We are domed in Europe! Unless someone can prove me wrong (hardened stone)! I hope it xould be true though!
