StonesTod, is it worth an upgrade...I've got the "old" 4reels-version?

i don't have this new L&G one - first I've heard of it, actually. can't imagine it's been sonically/visually upgraded much, frankly.....

Beelyboy, quality is 8 or 9 out of 10, I would say. Almost perfect.
You should upgrade your VHS.
I've got a VHS I bought in 93 or so. It's nowhere near the DVD quality. And now, I may have to upgrade my DVD to this new release.
The CD release of L&G is perfect...absolutely perfect.

erik is right - even if the Stones were to put this out on the dvd market, i doubt they'd improve on this....

check ebay, but make sure it's a factory pressed copy and not a dvd r
if there are any record shows taking place in your area you could probably buy a copy there also.

cheers !

I'm slightly confused. I have the 4reel version that was called the best for quite a while. Since this is a new release I assume its 'better' but what does that mean. Is it from a new source? The old one was still basically a DVCpro or miniDV camera shot at a screen projecting the film. The sound was 'good' at best, though not fantastic, same with the video. Admittedly it was better than all other versions I had ever seen, but still wasnt amazing.

The telltale quesiton, how does this new version compare to the footage seen in 25x5?

I put this on top again, 'cos I wonder if I should buy this one.
Has anybody seen this 4reels-new-version-widescreen-Ladies&Gentlemen - movie?

ok so will 4reels take returns on the first release so we can buy this one,
wtf man , how many copies do they expect us to buy, the first 4reels release was the definitive edition is what THEY said, so how can this be too, this is just bullshit cause 4reels or any other boot dvd label cant find anything new
they keep throwing the same shit at us with a different cover, cmon man

Yea, I don't like repackages either,
but it COULD be a better source, and it IS widescreen.
Someone must have this, it's been available for some months, at least weeks, now.

The website don't give better information, then what's listed on the cover,
apart that it's "mixed for 5,1 stereo surround".
