Let's turn this threads attention back to Blondie & his solo album instead of me!

BLUE LENA can you recommend any other "gifted" performers that haven't released anything since 1977???

Now it is getting nasty, patel...
...I am no Blondie Chaplin expert so why he did not release anything on his own since 1977 escaped my attention, but he gave me the chance to listen to his unreleased "Fragile Thread" project and all I can say is that the tape he played contained simply wonderful music. Great songs, indeed, but even the inclusion of Keef on a couple of tracks (and Ronnie?) did not help him to get a record contract. It's a pity, but that is today's music business.

Blondie is more of a song writer and accompanyist, rather than a solo artist.
But his solo album from 1977 is not the only thing he has released. Check out the Skollie album "Ostrich Man" from 1992, it's really good. They were a trio consisting of Blondie, Anton Fig and Keith Lentin. Basically the same people that were involved in Fragile Thread, and the new album. Blondie is also featured on many other albums by various artists, such as The Band, Rick Danko, David Johansen, Bonnie Raitt, Sir Mack Rice, Ray Ohara, The Parlor Dogs, Wingless Angels, Charlie Watts/Jim Keltner Project, Hubert Sumlin...

No, that is not what I said. He is a very talented song writer and musician.

Why are you so negative concerning Blondie, patel? Seems to me like you almost hate him. Did you ever actually hear his own stuff? How can you say it is "filler material"?

When I post something Stones related here it is simply to inform fans who may be interested in the info. I don't force you to read it, agree with it or buy it. I have been asked by Big Karma & Blondie to get the word out to the fans about his new release. If you are not a fan of Blondie's and are not interested in his solo material then why do you need to even bother reading this thread, let alone reply to it? But to answer your question, I am sure I certainly could recommend several other gifted musicians who have never released anything officially ever.
