Paris Question
Posted by: madmaxx ()
Date: June 3, 2006 17:59

Did not look at it before because we could not go to original dates.

Now thinking it is feasable ?.

Will be in Amsterdam 27th so....

What is the time the fastest train takes to paris from Adam and is it possible to get on a train back to Adam after the Concert ? (Already paid for Hotel in Adam dont fancy shelling out for another one in Paris).

Anyone got a link to Seating/Standing plan for Paris ?.

Yes I know I can search but just hoping someone already has info at their fingertips.

Thanks

i am thinking of going too - i fly into london on the 27th, and thought i'd go straight to a'dam but i might as well go to paris. i expect to take cheap planes between the two cities - bmi baby or such, but i'm always too exhausted to do much after a show other than go back to the hotel immediately to recover.

I just want to remind that 2 shows have been merged to one. I hope you will succeed though.

Thank you erik

Another Q

What is the sound like in Stade de France, is sound any good from seated sections and if so which are best ??.

Just thinking if we take the train we will not be early enought to get very FOS as the line of people waiting will be long so may be better opting for seats would rather standing though.

I just phoned to ticketnet. What they told me is the following : the 2 shows are cancelled. Practically : if you bought your tickets thru the website, you have to return those to get a refund ( keeping a xerox copy with you ). For the 28th show, yo have to buy again new tickets as from Tuesday, 6 th June at 9:00. The web will open at that time. Thus people who bought tickets may not have seats for the new show and those who did not get one, have the opportunity to get ones. Blame on the french organizors and Ticketnet.

my question/comment on the darryl jones site got censored when i used the word "bummer" and recently i noticed my question was removed completely! can you believe it?

on the last tour, i got to SDF around 3pm and got front row FOS (not center, a little off to the side, but still great). i had to push past security though.

Stade de france has the best sound quality compared to any other stadium IMO.

I have been at one of the badest places during the babylon gig..just opposite the main stage...100 meters away from the stage..right under the roof...it could not have been worse..but the sound was perfect..cristall clear...unbelievebale.

Well. I did not believe it, but that's what I have been told . Thus connect you as I will Tuesday morning at 09:00. at www.ticketnet.fr. I read elsewhere that this is not the same for people who bought at Fnac, Carrefour which is another channel.

Harm
I was hoping to leave the concert and catch a train back to Adam sometime around 2am ish on the 29th but nothing, 1st train seems to depart at 06.55 on the 29th.

Good to hear about the perfect sound.

Not so good to hear about ticket sale date

What about those who bought tix from someone else, and this someone else payed them with a credit card??? A friend of mine payed for my tickets with her card and she was transfered to Japan.

It's so stupid, you should be able just to exchange your tickets without more hassle....

Exactly. This doesn't make sense. I'm getting really tiered of all this.

Afraid refunds are returned to the Credit Card that paid for them not the person that has them.

Reason:
Person who has the card may go to their company and charge back for the tickets if they do not refund the card they have no proof that a refund has been issued for that payment.
Credit Card company would not accept them refunding a second party by other means.

They will have to return the tickets to get the refund of course.

Why do you have to send the tickets back if they are not good anymore anyway? Just refund the original buyers then. It seems that we have to buy new tickets

On Thalys right now for July and August, you can book tickets between Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris for only 10 euros. It's to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Thalys. Get them fast before they are all gone!

Here's what I posted on the RS.com messageboard:

To Staff,

Dear Staff,

all members that bought tickets through this website, using the code they paid 100$ for, did buy them through www.ticketnet.fr.
Ticketnet says we can't use the tickets we already have for June 3rd for the July 28th show.
They don't say that we can return the old tickets for June 3rd and get new tickets for the same seat category for July 28th.
What they say is that we can get a refund and then buy tickets again online much as anybody else, so the whole "code" thing, the only reason I subscribed to this website, gets pointless.
I don't care about getting my money back, I want to be 100% sure to have my front stage tickets I bought 7 months ago.
400 euros that have been in the Rolling Stones/Michael Cohl pockets for about 7 month, as much as other 79.999 people.
That makes about 8.000.000 USD, yeas, 8 @#$%& million dollars, that in 7 months can grow interests for about another million.
Where are my interests? I want a share of the profits, therefore about a 10% plus or want to be 1000% sure to have FOS tickets.
Get in touch with Ticketnet and tell them that anybody who's bought tickets through the website has the RIGHT to have tickets re-issued for the rescheduled Paris show.
I expect a reply and I mean it.
Sorry, but this thing is seriously hitting my nerves.

I can't but only agree with your post. What they, I mean organizors, are doing is a terrible mess and outrageous to customers. There seems to be 2 types of clients : whether you bought tickets via ticketnet or the other channel ( Fnac, Virgin..). It may happen that person who bought tickets thru Ticketnet for both cancelled concerts may not get seat for the new show. And the other channel buyers get all the seats. The first channel operate via cancellation, the second thru exchange. If you get an answer, thanks to provide us with the news.

Can people who bought tickets through Fnac exchange their tickets? So they have the same seats and no worries? I think it's almost not possible unless you give people only one week to ask for refund. I think everyone has to buy new tickets because of the lack of time.
Sometimes I wonder why I go through all this mess just to see the same shows for 12 years now. Better I won't tell sane people what I'm doing to see the Stones nowadays.
