DVD Live New Orleans 1978

Ok- has anyone seen this? The guy selling it (Ebay) admits "Poor quality" but besides the partial 1978 Ft Worth show, I don't know of any other DVD from 78.

It appears by the song list this is the complete show. I thought they only did SFM once in 78 as an encore? ANyway they didn't do SFM often in 78, right?

here's the link-

It's pretty lousy quality.
However, 8 songs from Fort Worth exists in quite good quality....and the soundquality is perfect, taken from Handsome Girls.
It's called Fort Worth 78...from Jointrip.

Thanks -Eric.

I have the Ft Worth DVD- got it a couple of months (or so) ago when it first poped up on Ebay. Agreed- on your description of Ft Worth. I actually watched soem of it this morning (when the Whip COmes Down and Beast of Burden are gerat)

So.... is New Orleans so lousey that its not worth spending $20 on?

I'm pretty leary of boot DVDs. I got LA Forum 1975 and its bearly watchable. The sound is pretty good, but if the visual stinks, I might as well just get a cd...........

don't give me that ole one two, one two three four

Yea, and that's really sad. It seems like a tremendous concert.

The 15 min +/- overdubbed version of NO is tolerable, the full 78 NO is probably the worts DVD in my collection. You can barely make out what songs are being played. If you think LA 75 was bad, most are B-grade copies. NO 78 is D-grade, not worth the cost of a blank to burn it on.

I have a VHS copy....yes it is poor quality. I was there, so it is a tremendous keepsake for me. It was a great, great show by any standards. It had energy, danger and all of the seedy elements that make for a great 1970s' Stone's show.

Rooster, there's 2 clips from New Orleans available here....they're very short, though.

I have this and like Steven said it's not worth the cost of a blank dvd. Stick to the Jointrip title until some 78 gem surfaces(I hope)

This is a gem when it gets a soundboard audio. The setlist includes Far Away Eyes and Lies which is raraely played. The only song missing is Satisfation but I think that was only played a couple of times on this tour.

Far Away Eyes was played at all shows, and Lies was played at 19 out of 25 shows, so they're not rare.
