I got mail today which invite jurnalists on press conference about stones concert on 7/7 here in Belgrade. It is not joke, press conference will be tomorrow in 12h local time.
Also I saw today sticker on "Jelen Pivo" (beer) with adversite for stones concert. "Jelen Pivo" is general sponsor for this happening.
you can download attachment from mail

Any comments, opinions?

So, tomorrow we will know. I am wondering if they can be that much uninformed.
Today I received an e-mail asking me to confirm if I still want the ticket for Tim Ries in Warsaw, called them and the lady told me it is on. Well, You can imagine it is not. So, us, fans know a whole lot more than these "profesional" promotors

Is it possible that it is a hoax? They will do the press conference, maybe collect some money from sponsors and the concert will never happen, I guess that it could have been possible in Poland a couple of years ago at the beginning of capitalism, not now though.

Whether they feature Jeff Beck or John Sykes
they sure dont want to have a Eurostarter in Nürnberg.

It's still on BV's tour list. Rumoured.

Adams,
I think that you maybe in right!! Sponsor will give some money for adversiting. Sponsor will get money with better selling of beer. Postal service will be so good with stamps...at the end of story only loosers are simple Serbian people who really want stones...

Why wouldn't they start in Nüremberg?

Well, if they really don't there is one reason. It is not selling well enough...

The Nürnberg Trials - the common rage aginst the Stones machine...
At least it gives me bad associations. The Glim Twins was born
in the midst of Blietzen. War is over, but some places has a
tune over them that is hard to get rid of. No offense Germans;
I love Germany and have travelled a lot there, also (if not to but)
thru Nürnberg. BTW I love Berlin very much.

triplelicks,
Serbina promoter has a pic on website since tour started, so it for sure means NOTHING. I can put pic on my website. Today will not know nothing special, I guess.

Baboon Bro, is there some press conference planned?

At least some official statement.
That was said about Wednesday ("within 48 h") which should
mean a deadline for that would be drawn within some hours.
But given the amount of time we've been waiting for all kinds of
info the last month; one shouldnt take anything for granted.

Consider this. Belgrade 7/7/2006 would mean that they cancel a scheduled show in Zagreb (CROATIA) on the FIFTH of JULY, only to start the European Tour TWO DAYS later in the capital of Croatia´s worst ENEMY = Belgrade/SERBIA??!!!

What is Mr. Cohl after? That the Stones will stand in future history books as the band, who provoked a new war in the Balkans? At least that Mick Jagger and Co are the most insensitive band in history.

Now really, this 7/7 gig would be nearly as absurd as if the Stones quit the Superbowl show because they got an invitation to rock on Osamas birthday party, somewhere in Afghanistan.

I dearly hope this message is not true.

Do the girls still scream, when you perform on stage? KR: Not on stage, but when I perform, yeah.

Dear Sister Soul: Mr Tingvall said it in Expressen; and I have got
it from other sources too, all of them v e r y initiated.
This is 'gossip' that has leaked outwards from the inner circles.
Nevertheless we ought not to trust no other words than God's
these days. Least of all rs.com.

The only reason I could imagine is the capacity: 100'000 (see on BV's list). Glorious start of the tour (lol)

I doubt that The Stones will be here in Belgrade on 7th of July but I sure wish that would happen.I don't see how it has anything to do with Zagreb show.Hopefully Zagreb show will get a new date and as a Serb I don't see Zagreb or Croats as my enemies.

The Stones owe a show to Serbian fans. They have had a strong fanbase here since early sixties but never played a show here due to various circumstances.

Hate to repeat myself: but I dont believe there will be
anymore concert this year. Not with Keith it wont. :0(
And I dont seem to be alone on this gloomy view.
Dont ask me for souces, this is my own synthesis of
all the facts that I have dug up (I know it sounds
a little MicksBrain-ish, but what the heck... ). yawning smiley)

I'd like to ask BV to delete those posts which might be insulting to people of some nationalities like the post of StonesAustria which is above.

Use the Report This Message beneath the post.
Good initiative.
Check out one or two of all the good US posters too
who repeatedly insults Europeans.

What has been said is that Keith would need a t
l e a s t either (first) one month from the surgery,
or (later) two months: thats why he couldnt play before the 8th.

Re: Belgrade 7/7/2006

The date of July 8th was probably mentioned because of the insurance company which will not cover anything if Keith is on stage before that date. So 7.7 seems unlikely, but the next day is ok then.
