no they wouldn't - VIP passport control/security checks are not unusual or hard to arrange.
my lord but we sure are getting giddy! it's exhausting. :E
Farawayeyes2, if you're there: where did you find the new photo you posted here: [iorr.org] ?

>> it is better to have healthy Keith <<

yes it is.

Keith, be well - all the way, baby, all the way

I go from being to happy to being depressed everytime I read the report. I'm getting tired and now I'm glad I haven't purchased my plane tickets for London yet. I guess I won't really know who or what to believe until I get a call from Keith himself.

Re: Tour has been put back by two to three weeks

Well, even if the statement on RS.com is not very informative, as I discussed here in other threads on Monday, it seems that the basic fact about it is true, that Keith is back home. Moreover, RS. com did not lie in other things, such as surgery etc. There is not much written on RS. com, but what they wrote showed to be true.

So, I kinda decline my previous thoughts, that the statement on RS. com is debatable. I think that Keith is at home, but needs still time.

it sure is

and you're right about the airport control. Anybody seen how officers deal with the brazilian soccer team in Switzerland? Well they just get off the plane, get in a bus and go directly to the hotel...

so let's try to keep paranoia to an healthy level please

and KEITH BE WELL

yes, thanks JJF5 - Farawayeyes posted that one, and it's not clear whether the photo was taken super-recently or not.

bv's question is actually right on spot
ever since Keith left - or was supposed to leave - NZ I have been embarrassed on behalf of all the paparazzis of this world....not that I owe Keith his well-earned privacy...

I read the article, which has nothing new. Also, the photo is not dated so I think it's safe to assume it is a file picture, not a new one.

yikes - *i'm* not the one who said that bit that you quoted up there, Dunhill!
of course Keith and his tribe wouldn't have to go through airport controls like everyone else,
and yes, i think it's very likely that they flew privately.

Keith, be well - all the way, baby, all the way

WELL if BV knows something we don't know, he just just say it, otherwise I am assuming Keith is HOME in Connecticut with a Doctor on call in case he has a spike in Blood pressure or a dizzy spell. It was all over USA news today announcing he is home and doing well. Why lie? If the officials have no news, why make up news that he is at home? Wouldn't they just NOT SAY A THING?

The management should say whats going on!!We-I- need a deadtime!
For me they bring us the news in small slices-the result-tour is cancelllllllllled.
I will loose a lot of money-no refund for flights and hotels!
I only will know - will it be or not!
I begin to hate the management and the tour promoters!
They think a fan is nothing-but the masses are good for us!

The way I see it everyone is so pessimistic about Keith's health that even if he did make a public appearance in Connecticut and pictures of the occasion were plastered all over the internet people would still think someone was just extremely proficient with photoshop!!! Come on people, I honestly don't think the Stones organization would lie about his trip home, what would be the purpose? They could simply say nothing and we'd be none the wiser. Let's all lighten up a little, he needs to recuperate from brain surgery and that takes time. Even if Keith wanted to be back on tour in Europe by the middle of June, if his doctors say NO that means just that, no. He'll be there stronger than ever when he's up to it.

Gold rings on ya, Keith! Take all the time you need to get well, that's most important of all!

Interesting choice of words there, Pollyanna.

"Stronger than ever"...."when" he's up to it?

I hate to break the news to you, but none of us get stronger at age 62 than we were at a younger age.

Keith might come back, he might get stronger than he is _right now_ (which apparently ain't saying much), but words like "stronger than ever" and "when" (the word IF comes to mind as far more accurate) are silly pie-in-the-sky/ignore-the-realities-of-aging-and-serious-injury.

Finally, whatever doubt that might have existed about the ineptitude of the Stones business office and P.R. machine have been thoroughly erased by today's cancellation announcements from Paris and other venues....with still no word of clarification from rollingstones.com. This is textbook ineptitude, folks. Shameful, shameful neglect by the Stones business entities of their responsibilities to keep the ticket buyers informed.

I'll be flying to Paris with my non-refundable airline tickets next week. When do you think rollingstones.com will finally get around to notifying me about my options? June 4th?

Maybe we misread BV's intention by posting his question, after all, he did post in his news the reports of Keith being home (though he only says that it is REPORTED that KR was back in USA). This would be an apparent contradiction in what he OFFICIALLY reports and what he UNOFFICIALLY hints at!LOL and maybe he did it just to stir the pot for personal entertainment value, but I doubt that!

Maybe what he implies is that Kieth is home...but not well ...and that is why no one got photos of him...he was brought back with privacy in way others posters suggested. Not being well means we should not be mathematical about predictions.

And maybe and maybe and maybe and maybe...those who know do not speak and the rest of us get to believe what we want according to what we read.

And MAYBE the unpalatable truth of this entire farce is that no-one knows shit and the ONLY people that might - are simply not telling. Face it, from the PR perspective, the way this has been - and continues to be - handled by Cohl/the Stones org has been/is a catastrophe. They should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, and no matter how lovingly obsessed you are with the Rolling Stones - you should be capable of taking the necessary step or two backwards, distancing yourself, and recognising that fact. They're treating their public like shit ! How CAN you not even have made some kind of announcement or statement with barely 72 hours to go to the first of the postponed shows ? The people involved surely use hotels and aeroplanes like the rest of us mere mortals !!!! They must surely understand that there is money invested, and without any news from them - money to be lost too. Get f***ing real will you ? It is PATHETIC !!

When such a big public figure like KR gets on a plane or arrives at an airprt, someone, whoever, is always there with a camera, a note pad and a microphone.

As Paulywaul says - the lack of news from the Stones office, this close to the start of the tour - with tickets sold, hotels booked and transport arranged is nothing short of deplorable behaviour.
And not surprisingly, makes everyone think there must be more bad news to come.

Thats right paulywaul, it's a bunch of shit. I'd like to hear from Mick. This is ridiculous.
I've always love them and I always will, but the fans deserve a little more respect.
I'm losing complete respect for the band as every day goes on without an announcement.

Lets just hope Keith gets better quick. Thats probably the reason for the mystery,
there's a sad possibility that Keiths condition is worse than what we've been told and they don't want the public to know the truth.

ROLLING STONES guitarist KEITH RICHARDS has returned to his Weston, Connecticut, estate to rest, following three weeks of treatment in New Zealand for the head injury he sustained after a fall from a palm tree in Fiji. "He is feeling great, happy to be home and looking forward to getting back on the road with the Rolling Stones next month," the veteran rock band's Web site reported. While a revised itinerary will be announced shortly for the summer European leg of their A Bigger Bang tour -- originally scheduled to kick off May 27th in Spain -- French promoters already announced that two shows slated for June 3rd and July 2nd at the Stade de France in Paris have been postponed, while an August 8th date in Nice was still on.

"He is feeling great, happy to be home and looking........."

No one, 3 weeks after sustaining a serious head injury, necessitating 2 operations for brain surgery is likely to be feeling, "Great".

I finally have to throw in with the unhappy throngs. I want Keith to be well, I want him to have all the privacy to heal that he needs. But at this point with less than a week before the prior start date, for management to release nothing, to keep selling tickets for shows that they know will not be presented is just a travesty. I have defended my favorite band since the relaese of EOMS. But with this, I am rapidly loosing faith.

I still love the music. I still in may ways love the image of the men I have come to know. But I know longer have faith in them having much respect for their audience.

I thought there was only ONE operation? Wasn't the "first" one made up by the Sun?

Hi peolple!
I don´t care iF the tour is postponed as long as Keith Richards recovers from his fall.
Come on, you are all worried about the concerts, i think it is more important that he is OK, and I am sure next time he plays, he and us will enjoy it much more.
I have tickects for Paris and Madrid, and I would love to see them soon, but really, at this point it´s better for everybody he recovers fine.

The only thing it´s weird to me it´s that they are taking too long to say something.
Anyway, Keith, GET WELL. WE LOVE YOU.
