Quite subjective as a word (shortly). Shortly means what to you? Tomorrow, next day, next week or next month?

In the near future hopefully, but in reality it might not be announced for at least several more weeks from now.

I predict a major delay, but it will definitely happen, so keep the faith!

We just have to be patient!

Keith is the only one to say when he's ready!
Let him recover first of all and let the tour
come to us when it does.

Been Stoned since 1964 and still am!

shortly a few hours before Bruxelles they shortly announce that it's cancelled.

But fans will know it before, because there is no stage. Maybe we should send in every city on week before the concert date someone who checks out if they are building the stage so.. we are well informed.

"The Rolling Stones "A Bigger Bang European tour" will begin in June with details to follow shortly", rs.com wrote May 10th. Almost two weeks ago. Nothing new yet except yesterday's information that Keith is back home again.

But now it's just two weeks left to the first not-postponed show which means that "shortly" (imo) has to be within two or maximum three days.

At this point I think it's also a legal point. Probably it's all about insurances. They are trying to make a deal. Although everyone (I means us, fans) knows Brussels and Paris will be cancelled (postponed), they cannot make it official yet.

Just read in a domestic paper that Sting cancelled
the very day* he was scheduled; so anything might happen.
(*If that would happen here; I would party on with the vikings
and other cool folks plus enjoy a nite on the rollercoasters
of Liseberg Amusement park.)

The reason for that cancellation was laryngitis. The Stones have postponed shows due to Mick having laryngitis, on the day of a show (Milan 98, Benidorm 03, Amsterdam 03 etc...).

Aha, so that's why I never hear of Benidorm 2003.
Still I guess its a l m o s t as hard to know when it is time now,
as with laryngitis. It's easy to imagine Keith is sensing
a lot of pressure from different directions. Even if noone
says anything to him; he sure knows what Cohl or family, respectively want.

Of course you can cancel a show on the showday beacause of acute illness.
But this situation is different. You can't cancel Bergen, Horsens, Gothenburg and so on the very showday imo.

You shouldnt; but they sure havent treated Spain, Paris or Brussels fairly well.
