The norwegian promoter doubts that Bergen will be the opener, as he think The Stones would like to open the tour on a big stadium. If you understand norwegian read the interview with promoter Frank Nes from Bergen Live here:

He also points out that Bergen probably not will be able to handle the circus about an opening show, especially when all hotelrooms in town are booked. But of course, it would be very nice to be the first, he says.

plus given the fact his wife is of Norweigan origin
and also plus Bergen is a small venue which has
been called the most beautiful city among the Nordic ones...
(the latter may be discussed, but.. ) at least I wouldnt put up much
against it. Wouldnt the circus be less if they announced it late?

Baboon Bro, remember the Bergen gig is the smallest gig on the tour, only 20 000. And Bergen is not that big city either, a population for about 250 000 I think. On the other hand it could fit perfect for an easy start. I don't mind at all if the tour starts in Bergen, as I have a ticket for the show.

I don't think they would cancel it as an opener because it is small. They must lose a lot of money for EVERY cancelled/postponed gig.

I hope they do open there.....but am rather sad that Spain did not get the opener.........such a great audience.
