hey '64!
yeah he's made some very ungracious comments, i agree.
i find some of 'em disturbing and most unnecessary...
i was talking about the man's talent and the brilliant mysterious chemistry of the stones rhythm section for the first 30 YEARS...
i think it's minimally fair to say their much of their better work does in those first 30 YEARS...
he's a rolling stone and can say what he wants...
tho i was similarly turned off by his recent press statements...
screw that jive, really.
i was talking about the thrill, the absolute foundational rock bottom rhythm section of the greatest rock and roll band in the world. the brilliance of his percussive yet melodic lines...the absolute DRIVE as well as melodic cathartic, tension and release stuff that he is a master at...
the thousands of live shows, from clubs to theatres to tv shows to stadiums...
solid as a rock...solid as his rockin' twin, charlie...never off...
obviously i am empassioned about the supreme playing and drive of this band!
i don't figger i'd necessarily like him over for a cup of tea...
not that kind of a fan...am into it for the music.
keith has called mick a "fu*#in# c#N*" in the press and threatened to
"slit his fu*$#($ throat"...
so i'd like to leave this all in a little perspective and concentrate on that great pulsing brilliant stalwart and steady guy holding down the bottom and pushing things along so thrillingly.
these bitchy old girls are their own little circle of personalities since they were sleeping in the same bed to keep themselves warm and hoping for coins to throw in the heater...it's deeper than any of us know.
