Da Vinci Code Movie was butchered by critics in France.

The newspaper Liberation reads the critics laughed loudly during the press screening.

Here is the most ridiculous quote, according to Liberation.

"So, it means I decend from the Christ", Audrey Tautou says. Then Tom Hank wraps her in a blanket, "as she was to be conduced to a psychology unit".

But to be honest, I did not watch it yet.

Don't care.

I'm reading the novel, its fun, its quite well written for a thriller.

Since I'm not religious at all.. would the book be interessting to me?

Rent (or Buy) the New DVD "MUNICH" instead - excellent film. Also "Why We Fight" - that DVD just came out....

I read the book and just out of curiousity I will see the movie. All the protests and negative publicity is just pathetic though. catholics (christians) make trouble for nothing about a movie and a book, muslims make trouble about a few drawings... the world would be so much better without any religion..

I 've read the book and I really liked it, I couldn't seem to put it down, I wanted to see what will happpen next... I just saw the movie and it wasn't as good as the book-not as exciting as the book- but what I gotta say is that Ian McKellen was amazing!! He's such a great actor!...

Why don't people just consider this movie as pure entertainment... The rest is not that important... Let's just have fun watching it.... it is a fiction story, nothing else.

I read the book when it was released, so I was curious to see the film, specially after the bad revues that it came out from Cannes, so I watched tonight !!Its not the movie of my , but neither the book,but its not bad as I feared . The words from hi1 makes all the sense; Pure entertainment

I read the book and I thought it was entertaining, but poorly written. I thought it would make a great movie. I was wrong. It's not terrible, but it's nothing special.

I'm gonna watch it mainly because of Audrey Tautou. I've always been soft on French girls.

Was gonna see it yesterday, but I skipped it and went to see Mission Impossible III instead. The staff at the cinema was dressed in Da Vinci clothes and they had a guy walking around dressed as the dude from Opus Dei.

The film was completely axed by all Danish reviewers as being immensely boring.
Personally I find it interesting how millions are fascinated by conspiracy theories.
They may be entertaining of course, but still. It's a very old phenomenon, and it'll probably never ever die. Who knows : Maybe Macca really isn't alive since some day in the sixties ? Maybe the Jews really were to blame for the Black Death ? Maybe Mossad - or perhaps even Pentagon - organised the 9/11 attack ? Maybe Brian Jones was killed ? One thing is sure : There's big money, a few wars, and a lot of myth-making to be made out of these "theories". The show must go on....

I dislike movie theaters in general.

Most mainstream movies of the last 3 years sucked.

I thought you went to see " The Mission", the 80's movie with de Niro and Jeremy Irons with a powerful soundtrack by Morricone. Now, Mission part III : !!!. I will wait Mission X, under pressure by my sons. Hopefully, would have left home by that time, so ....

I have to laugh about the media spectacle abou the Da Vinci Code, its a fun but unbelievable thriller, if anyone ever took the story seriously, they need their heads examined. Its an update of Raiders of the Lost Ark

plus he is one of my fav actors. Havent seen this movie yet, but will soon.

It was funnier in early 60s, when people dressed up as James Bond, when the Connery movies were at the cinema. Young people with ties, sunglasses & suitcases.
