shubb's are great; have 'em, use 'em...love 'em...
i use kysers too...very good at the quick change...
they clamp easily to the headstock when not in use...
very handy for performing and recording i find.
as far as tuning, usually one should tune up first, then carefully put the capo directly, immediately behind the actual metal fret....then make furthur tuning adjustments if necessary; the way one puts on the capo can sometimes knock it out of tune a bit...
