Yeah you must be right. I'm that sad!

How about giving a fullfilling answer after such a statement instead of giving me and all the others here the runaround???

We'd like to hear anything new about this.

If it's Robbie William's stage, it's strange they put it up so early.
He's opening his Europeean tour in Ireland 9th of june, then Belgium 13th of june. And then again france 17th, and Netherlands/Holland 21st and 22nd.

Has he got two stages, and one is set up in Belgium, to be removed directly to Netherlands while the other is taken to Ireland, then to France? I don't know.

Could somebody just take their car and drive out to Werchter and take some photos?

I'm quite sure it's THE stage :

The stage was here in Werchter maybe for the training of the build workers team if this one is different than the american one.

The pics I've seen of the Werchter stage does not remind me of the bigger bang stage. I've uploaded some earlier pics of the bigger bang stage under construction here:

I think there is a big diffrence.

The last 3 pics posted by Chris on Shidoobee are pics of Robbie Williams stage.
Parts of the stage on the ground or on trucks look extremely close to the Bigger Bang stage.

I think you're right arizojp. The stage under construction can't be the bigger bang stage.

Stageco, who does the Stones stage, are located in Werchter.

I talked to someone from StageCo at the old StageCo site in Werchter, where I took most of the pictures, and he confirmed that it were parts of the Stones stage. The stage(s) had been up at the StageCo site in Tildonk (NOT on the festival ground!) for most of the week and a guy who works at the firm right next to StageCo had seen a test picture on the big screen. Unfortunately, I was informed to late to see the stage in all it's glory....
And yes, the last three pictures are the Robbie Williams stage they are building at the StageCo site in Tildonk.
The stage being in Belgium does not mean a thing, as has been said in some postings; StageCo is doing the steelwork and they probably just tested it out after the long trip from New Zealand to Europe.
At Tildonk, they weren't as nice as in Werchter, and I was chased away. (and almost had to give them my camera), but that was probably because of the pics I was taking from the Robbie Williams stage. I just drove my car right on the grounds, so I WAS trespassing smiling smiley However, on the way out I did see a lot of trailers with a sheet saying "Brussels" on it. (which still means nothing because I couldn't stop and take pictures to see if it looked like the Stones Stage)

The stage did not come from New Zealand. It came from USA. Shipped from USA around two weeks ago. NZ had the South America stage. Local steel and nothing much on top of it except for the palm decoration. And the screen of course.

There were two sets of steelwork for the stadium stage on the 2005 leg.

this may be a dumb question, but other than a mythical creature that lives under a bridge, what's a "troll" when it comes to this board?

Someone that make offensive and big-headline-posts with "strong" opinions,
but just fades away, when we discuss the issue and give reasonal statements.

>> what's a "troll" <<

someone who posts deliberately sensational, outlandish or obnoxious stuff merely to upset people for "fun" -
i reckon the term comes from the verb to troll, as in fishing by trailing a baited line behind a boat.

(Continuing OT)
Not that I want to be picky, but...
Actually wouldnt that be a "troller", "trolleer"
or a "trollist" - or possibly "trollinger".
Sure the word is estabished but now we have three troll-meanings:

1) The original forest existence. Nordic-Sami origin.
2) A sensationalistic attentionseeker at a message board
3) A freak or a geek

BTW We have a sayin in my country:
" 'X (or Y, or anything'), said the Troll.' "
'or just "... said the Troll. "
Its a little like putting quotemarks in the air with yer fingers, yet stronger
and with a little more tongue in cheek.

In English the word gives negative associations; while
in Nordic (at least Swedish) language it can be the opposite: "Trollunge"
(~ troll kiddy) means a irrestistably charmin little kid. "Trolsk" ~trollish
describes nature and a 'nature mood' which means sl. "suggestive".

>> Not that I want to be picky, but ... Actually wouldnt that be a "troller" <<

sure, if slang were required to stick to regular word-formation rules.
i see a similarity in meaning between the fishing verb and the internet attention-seeker,
but if you don't, that's no skin off my nose ... on with the show. :E

In 1990 the stage was put up in Eddie Stobarts yard (the hauledge company) in London before going to Rotterdam for the first show.

Whats happening with the stages may and imho will be the
destiny also for our boys.
Some Belgians maybe could go and have some peaks
(if they havent already picked the gear together and
heading north... Or east as some believe)... ?
