If you have been around for a while you would know that they never release songs that are not already released in some other format. There will never be a bunch of outtakes released, unless they change policy. Same policy for 43 years by the way.
The Stones should not be curating or repackaging their own rare material; none of them has the serious interest or committment; instead they need someone like "Dick" (of Dicks Picks fame) with the Dead (primarily as a live band), the team that replaced Alan Douglas responsible for the Hendrix goodies of the past decade, or Bob Irwin, who worked w/ among others Roger McGuinn on the Fillmore '69, 2-CD Preflyte, & Sanctuary VOLs 1 - 4 series of rare Byrds material. The RS need a smart and informed 'fan' with just enough critical distance to offset the necessary enthusiasm, and this individual or team should be given access to what's in the vaults, working with a superb remastering engineer (Bob Ludwig, Kramer, Steve Hoffman, Bob Irwin - not Jon Astley) to make sense of it all and come up with a series of attractive artifacts from 43 years worth of studio and concert material...There's so much, and I'd hate another Beatles Anthology hype followed by disappointment (& interference such as gratuitous editing)...

Agreed 100%!

I agree with the Dick Latvala statement, they have a wealth of goodies that people would buy in a heartbeat. I wish they did what The Grateful Dead use to do, play a different setlist each night, and juggle the order of the songs.
I'm not only satisfied; I am incredibly grateful. My life without their music would have been much different. I have sometimes been heard saying that the Rolling Stones are not a rock band; they are a way of life. Bit of a hyperbole, maybe, but not that far from how I really feel.
That said, I think some nitpicky criticism is warranted and fun; it also provides us with a way to express what we wish we could see from them, without nonetheless taking anything away from what they have done. I suppose that everyone on this forum has a bunch of Rolling Stones-related experiences they will carry to their grave. But it is also fun to play the demanding consumer sometimes. After all, let's not forget that thanks to us (the fans, through time and space) they have lived the best lives anyone could hope to live. And, at least in my line of work (academics), the greatest scholars are also the most criticized. The mediocre and least impactful ones simply slip into oblivion, never to be criticized again.
~*YEAH!*~ i'm incredibly grateful to that handful of skinny English cats for this whole extraordinary avalanche of beauty. i just got through one of my fairly-regular trips through the official releases in chronological order. you ever do that? i did it slow this time - at least a day on each album, reading about the tracks as i went along, watching the related footage, etc. took me six weeks. what an incredible body of work these cats have created! and they've given it to us, for good. they've got angels singin straight to them, and they want us to hear them too. hail hail Rolling Stones - thanks & praises

To be fair, while the Rarities album left out many quality rarities, there were only four tracks that were in print on other cds, eleven were out of print or on records only, and one had never been released at all.
We asked for less Chuck in the mix, we got it. we asked for louder guiters in the mix, we got it we asked for better guitarists, we did not get them we asked for less warhorses, more rarities, we did not get them we asked for more ABB songs, we did not get them
I hope you are damned wrong with your presumption about the outtakes/rehearsals, bv. Otherwise I don't think there is much to wait for.
What about some 'anniversary' releases of SF, B&B and SG for example? A box with: - one CD with alternative (early) takes of each song - one CD with outtakes - one DVD with a concert of the tour
