Thanks Erik,

They probably stopped in Kentucky for some specialty dentist work.

I've often wondered what does a person do who is REALLY into the Stones, but lives in the middle of Montana or Idaho. I guess they do a lot of travelling. But then, if you're THAT interested in big city entertainment, you don't move to a place like Montana or Idaho. And if you're born there, you leave, and move to where the entertainment is.

Wasn't there a rumor that the Stones were 2 hours late [July 4th 1975 at Liberty Bowl in Memphis] was because Jagger had been to see some girl up in Kentucky ?

Yeah, I think they played at Lexington in '78...I think some of that is included in the "Handsome Girls" stuff.

The Stones have also played the Providence Civic Center. It was sometime between the mid 70's to the early 80's Still Life tour.

An appearance from the Stones in Providence (a truly great up and coming city) would be huge. Providence is a hot bed for Stones fans. As a matter of fact Providence radio station 94 WHJY was the most Stones friendly city in America when ABB and Rough Justice made their debut. RJ got more spins in Providence than any other city in America.

Being between Boston and New York. Providence often gets overlooked (Foxboro stadium where the Stones usually play is only 30 minutes up the road. The Tweeter Center is about 25 minutes away. And the Boston Garden is about 40 minutes away) when major acts come to town.

But, when major acts (Springsteen etc.) do come to Providence it is always a sell out and a great crowd.

Mick, get the Stones to Providence. You've been to Boston far too often lately. The Stones in Providence = instant sellout.
