mick was gone

lets reverse roles here. suppose mick got injured right before some tour dates but the stones couldn't get it rescheduled and another singer had to fill in, who would you choose?

mine would be tina turner. lets face it she can move, shes the queen of rock and had a big ifluence on the stones and mick especially. plus it would be hard for a guy to fill in, everyone would compare them. if i was to choose a guy would either be rod stewart, chris robinson from the black crowes or spike from quireboys.

Well, the only fragile thing about Mick is his throat (laryngitis stopped
him on recent tours). Again: There is no way of Mick climbing trees or
jet skiing (jet setting more likely) when a tour is approaching. That´s
a professional. Imagine him falling down a tree, hurting his knee badly / breaking his leg etc. A friend of mine once said that Charlie Chaplin was
very limber until he broke something when he was nearly 70 or something.
From then on he wasn´t the same.

Imagine Mick in a plaster bed for 2 months...

Or Baboon Bro.
We could do it together, Brother Rockman,
as some kind of Blues Brothers Glimmer Twins!
"I need you, you, you... "
Or "Rawhide!" :0)

Me and a pal cleaned the dancefloor down in Mallorca back in the 80s
doin a BB (here: neither Baboon Bro nor Beggars)-special
on a disco completely with bouncing, handwalkin etc etc.
Wonder if I could do that today?

I might be scull-drilled afterwards.
Anyway; gotta be off purdy soon here,
my almost grown up son of 13 will wipe me off the
chair to sit by the pc. Or at least thats what he
would hope he could, that little sad dwarf.

this wasn't suppose to be taken seriously like its going to or would happen, its just a what if question which pretty much no one answered. its a hypothetical situation. he's not injured nor going to be injured nor would the stones really try to replace him so from now on lets just give a singer we would like to hear sing these songs or could fit the style. so far serious answers were: tina turner, chris robinson of the black crowes, rod stewart, prince and spike of the quireboys.

off topic would everyone really be pissed if keith wasn't cleared soon enough and eric clapton, angus young, mick taylor, brian may of queen, jimmy page, jeff beck, dickey betts, gary rossington of lynyrd skynyrd or even joe perry or aerosmith or lindsey buckingham of fleetwood mac played a night or 2 with the stones and alternated after a few nights so they could finish the tour and people could at least see something this year.

The only one comparable in stage-energy and youthness is Iggy Pop.

So,if Richards were a professional,he would stop living his life just to lower the chances of something happening to prevent him from playing the scheduled concerts?
