Trivia abounds. Bianca Jagger attended several of the London peace rallies in 2003/2004. She seemed to be friends with the likes of George Galloway and walked with the main organisers at the front of the march, who I was close to on one occasion.
After one march (can't remember which one - hopeless date recall), I ended-up walking close to this group to a protest near the American Embassy.
At one point I was standing directly to the side of Bianca at a set of traffic lights.
I have to say, for the record, she still looks exquisitely hot and sexy!!!
Not quite as impressive as my a few of my other close-encounters with Billy Gibbons, Jimmy Page and Beck (NOT at all the same time) having said that.....
I was in the erstwhile Compendium Bookshop, Camden Town, London.
As I as leaving the shop, I could not believe my eyes, as Billy Gibbons was standing hear the checkout (and an older female friend), and if he had not been with said companion I would have approached him. ZZ TOP RULE!!!
One December (think it was 2004), I found myself walking towards Jimmy Page, near Harrods, Knightsbrdge, London. I could never had lived with myself if I had not said something to him!!! He was very friendly, shock my hand and seemed please to have been recognised, we exchanged a few words and before I had the opportunity to ask him if he still had all his Crowley regalia (JOKE), he was off. I have met quite a few famous people and with no hesitation he radiated a certain special charisma and energy that no other had, you could literally feel it physically!!
I converged with Beck, in the biggest HMV store in Oxford Street, London, the day after his London shows (supporting his Guero album), at the Hmmaersmith Apollo in 2005. He was infront of me in the queue on the DVD/Video/Games section on 1st Floor. After he had made his purchases, he stopped to look at some accessories racks running parallel to the check-outs. Not missing a beat, I asked him of he was "Beck," he was really shy and kinda "spaced-out." I was rather taken-aback about how ordinary and charisma-deficient he was, given how powerful a presence he has on stage.
I asked him if he was planning to tour later in the year (only played two dates in the UK), to which he replied, "that is the tour," ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!
