I was 8 years old and my dad had just got Steel Wheels on cd. His first cd purchase btw. I heard mixed emotions and rock and a hard place and was hooked from then on. i'm now 24and i own every official live and studio album plus all of jagger and keaiths solo stuff plus something called more stoned which is 3 discs of outtakes from 62-72 and somegirls and tatoo you outtakes although the quality sucks but there is a hidden bonus track of little t & a live. also i have no stone unturned. all my early CDs of them up until between the buttons are the russian ones with the bonus tracks.

later i always run through the house with a "bettklopfer" as guitar, sung honky tonk woman and acted like keith
my dad was very proud of his little son

I remember seeing the video for it on tv, and was just thinkin this is absolut Rock 'N' Roll, and seein Keith in that jacket, and Mick dancin all over, Charlie in the yellow, poudin' the skins, ah, good times, good times, I bought my first Stones record in 1983 Tattoo You and Emotional Rescue, and I remember the horrific look my mom had on her face when Mick sang "You, You Made A Dead Man Cum", ah, Priceless, Crank It Up!

Mine was obviously Satisfaction. I was just about zero years old. I always used to think it was called "I Can't Get No" 'cause that's the only thing I heard.. my dad played it like every day. I have the '45 now, and it still gets a regular spin.

Sticky Fingers - Brown Sugar, Bitch, and Can't Your Hear Me Knocking -- still the best album and the latter being their best song. The strength of those 3 still carries that album and makes it superior to any other including Exile.

I had liked Creedence and Santana before that but I had NEVER heard rock n roll like that in my life. I was 14 (1971), my older brother was in college and he brought it home and that was IT, Stones have been my favorite ever since.

I was 10, almost 11. I loved the song, but it was the video that did it for me. I just thought those guys were cool.

Still think it's a great song.

It was 1978, I was 11 and Some Girls was just out - Miss You and Shattered were on the radio and I loved them. Then Emotional Rescue came out soon after then Tattoo You. That's when I started buying the 60s stuff, including bootleg vinyls.

I already posted about Brown Sugar and SF. But it was about 5 yrs later when I heard YaYas for the first time (I don't know where I had been). I could not believe it having never heard anything like that power from a live band.
The late 70s were the beginning of my concert going days. I did not see the Stones live until '81. Despite YaYas, more than a decade had passed and sound systems were much better. I did not expect them to be able to play a stadium with the power of Van Halen, AC/DC but I knew from the first seconds of UMT that they could more than keep up with the young guys live. I never would have thought I would be seeing them still 25 yrs later.

Sorry Cindy C. As you correctly guessed it was'nt a jab just wished my first record of the Stones was a cooler than Come On!Its great to see the breadth of songs that have turned us all onto the Stones and some of us got caught early

Paint It Black, on my dad's old cassette. probably 1989 or 1990. then jumping around the living room to his new vinyl copy of Steel Wheels. (the last Stones album he would ever buy - except for Stripped)

Satisfaction from Ed Sullivan, albeit on rerun when I was 10. Only 2 months old when it aired but since my parents were Sullivan fans, just perhaps I did see it LIVE and that's what started this maddnes of mine!!lol!
