I live in Rome, NY where they held Woodstock 99. Rumor was that the Stones were here and were suposed to be the surprise final act. Then the fires put an end to everything and the world will never know. Has anyone heard this rumor? Do you think there is any truth to it? My father worked as a security supervisor and his bosses told them the Stones would be playing that night last night. The morning of the last day of Woodstock, I got on the bus that took us in. The bus driver got up once the bus was full, right before we started driving, and said the Stones were going to be the surprise final act tonight. What do you think?

I know that the Woodstock story is TOTALLY true cause my GF's sister used to date Anthony K years ago when he was just a little LA skateboarder and just starting the Peppers... She keeps in casual touch with him and the band and told us about that at some family Christmas get together years ago where I was the usual Boozed and pilled cause I can't stand shit like that...I totally forgot about it till I read about it now.....

It's not the first time...They were suppose to play LA on July 4th, 1976 to celebrate America's 200th Birthday but it didn't happen for some reason. I've seen copies of a couple of the tickets in a Stones book way back - the whole thing was planned out.....
