At the 2nd Chicago show in '06 i heard some girl tell her friends...
"I only know that one song they play on Days of Our Lives. I really like it. I hope they play it!"

Also, my 52 year old cousin just found out that in fact it is Aerosmith who sings Dream On, not Led Zeppelin, as she has thought for over 30 years. Sigh.

Mick Jagger - Melbourne last week, introducing SWAY:

(something along the lines of) 'We're going to do an obscure song for you now, hope it isn't too obscure for you'

I heard a woman say after the show :"Usually Mick's Harp playing is anoying, but tonight even THAT was good".

I aslo saw a clip from an interview of these young girls at a show during the 81 tour and they said the stones were the best American Band around.

In 1966, leaving the Hollywood Bowl, some guy with his date said "Is it Rick or Mick?".

When they played Street Fighting Man (final song) at Scandinavium 6th of October 1973 a guy who had had too much to drink before the concert(I think he was Norwegian) on the seat behind me broke out: Have Stones started to play????!!!...

I'm convinced some of these stories are exaggerated or made up. Please, please tell me this is one of them.

Some of these posts convince me more and more than people should be required to take some kind of aptitude test to get decent Stones tickets.

Did anyone tell her that the Stones would probably play eight or nine songs that would be instantly recognizable to anyone who's ever owned a radio?

Outside the stadium:

I bought them using a fan club membership -- they must be fantastic seats!
These are "on stage" seats. We'll be right on stage with the band!
I hope they play Start me Up.

Before the SHow:

Are the pictures in this program all new?
I have 25 bucks. I think I'll buy a T-Shirt.
Will these shrink?
Are those blinking tongues free?

During the show:

Is that Lisa's real hair?
(looking at Keith and Ronnie) are they brothers?
Do you think they'll come back for a second encore?

"whats the name of the song with Mick at piano?" while the Stones were playing "Worried About You", it was so funny.

I was front row Keith's side at Enmore - perfect position for such an amazingly special show. What more can a die hard Stones fan ask for? the band opens with MR & followed by TD, later on Angus & Malcolm jam with the Stones onstage - I'm in rock n roll heaven. After the show finished and the lights came back on, this woman standing directly behind me said "I wish they had've played more of their well known songs". Getting tickets to that show was like winning the lottery or a gold ticket to Willie Wonka's chocolate factory & that moron was lucky enough to get one & to top it off she had a perfect view - I'm only 5 five 2. The bloody cow was also reading aloud the setlist which was written on Charlie's drum riser before the opening act even started, until everyone shouted at her to shut the F@#k up.

in fairness to the bubble-head in question, when the tour was announced, the way this was hyped did actually suggest that this could well be the case. Only when the 'seats' went on sale and by checking the stage designs that circulated a few days before the tour started, did it become more apparent that they were not all they were cracked up to be - being neither "on stage" or even "seats".

Jagger wasnt really that sure at the press conference how the gimmick would work. I got the impression they maybe toyed with the idea of some kind of on-stage seats (hence the name) but got cold feet and went for something where the audience had less proximity.

This is not from a concert but from a tour. A friend was in a Greyhound bus during the 97 Babylon tour and "smalltalked" with the person next him. When my friend told that he lives in Sweden, Europe he was asked: "did you come to America by bus"?
