Tour opens in London with a 10-song warm-up show in a small 500-audience club venue...

Open Jam...
Can't Stop
Scar Tissue
Dani California
Jam 2
Me and My Friends
Don't Forget Me
?
Soul to Squeeze
Give it Away

the entire gig fortunately was captured by BBC Radio. Catch it at link below:

This is such a major band and these guys are still in early 40's. If you've never seen them live, any Stones fan who can still rock will love it!

John Frusciante sounds so &^%$# good on these tracks...

Either they have the bass mixed down or Flea is deliberately holding back. He just blows arenas up usually... the greatest bassist on the planet, prolly the best ever.

Listening to it right now...good show. The more I hear 'Dani California' the more it grows on me. I love the guitar solo at the end.

Looks like you left 'Right On Time' and 'By The Way' out of the setlist

It's sort of a chopped-up song IMO, on the CD there's this funky drumwork in the opening that comes real close to an ersatz copy of "sweet home alabama"... but the refrain of the song really makes it...

".... Kaleeefornia Rest in Peace...." that's gonna ROAR in concert.

I just can't recommend any band in concert any higher than the Chili Peppers right now... if you've never seen them, you're in for a major treat.

Is very very similar to Tom Petty's "Mary Jane's Last Dance" as well...

Well IMO he's always been a great frontman... better or worse now, not sure but he's a great songrwriter and really knows how to cue off all the musical lines in the songs. This band WORKS TOGETHER, that's the key I guess... maybe the tightest band in the world right now.

I mean look at the "BlackCrowes" which some people think is a great band... constantly quarreling, no new CD that I'm aware of...

The Chili Peppers have been playing since the very early 80s now.. almost 25 years, and they are getting ready to release TWENTY EIGHT new songs... and they already have a hall-of-fame songlist of at least 25 songs, that's minimum great songs they have... and they're just releasing 28 more... what other bands that have been together 25 years are doing anything like that ???
