Nothing the Stones have ever done or ever will do will touch the version of Midnight Rambler from Brussels '73 thats on Brussels Affair and numerous other titles
13 minutes of every member of the band firing on all cylinders. Absolute perfection
True.I put on that cd in my car one night & my brother, who only listens to studio tracks & refuses to listen to live material for some reason, actually made some kind of a comment like "That was a pretty good version of Midnight Rambler".

Only to disturb: I myself prefer the version from London, Sept 9. Sadly it's only available in audience.

It's available in excellent mono SB on Back To The Graveyard.

Ooooops, I'm embarrased... You're right, Erik, I mean mono SB. Anyway, I think if the quality was as good as Brussels many would be saying it's perfect...

Just My Imagination Hampton '81 (extended jam anyone?) Dead Flowers Live @ the Marquee 71 (the vibrato gets you every time) and as T&A said..Bye Bye Johnny (any 72 version really, I like the Ft Worth Express 6/24/72 one but this song captured on L&G is possibly one of the bands greatest live moments)
Can't pick. Too much to choose from. I have about 2000 songs on all those discs. Really can't pick 3 of 'em. It's like having to pick one of your children best.
It's hard to pick for me too, the only thing I know is that Midnight Rambler from Brussels is among the top 3, as Gazza thought too. It was hearing this song, that made me quit playing soccer, in the early 90s. I bought a guitar instead. And I was the top player on our team!
