Dylan (with Neil Young) - Greek Theater, Berkeley 6/10/88
Lou Reed - Warfield Theater, SF - 1996

StonesTod! Man to see Muddy! That would have been classic!! Jealous
Also Dylan with Neil Young...did they play together? Which songs?

Yeah, love Lou too, saw him for the New York tour in a small theater in Detroit that would be in the top ten for sure!

the special thing about the Lou show was that we were right at his mike stand and he was playing directly for us the entire show.

Neil came on about 1/3 through the show and played the rest of the way - classic, classic stuff and we were right there front and center.

When you're 95 years old like me you might as well go
see Dag vag, Kebnekajse, and similar old acts
at a festival just 60 km from where ya live...
or at Gatufesten i Sundsvall (most beatiful city in the world btw)
and that Fogerty dude....

Honk; you're in Köbenhavn, right?
If I was I would probably attend some day at Roskilde.

Stones June 10 is my adventure.

I work in Copenhagen, but live closer to Roskilde, so it is quite a easy decision to go there or not..... dspite being > 40 y.o. I love going to conserts.....

They have some great live places in Copenhagen like: Drop In, Lades Kælder, Moose, Vega, Amager Bio, MoJo etc.. with lots of music every weekend - specially Drop In and Lads have good bues music.......

I love it with some good beer - like: Sort Carlsberg, Elephant and "Små Grå" (vodka with black turkish candy - it is quite tasty but you get very drunk, if you rink too much of it)..... yawning smiley)

I also lurv it; but I have two major issues:
A great bunch of healthy kids which I prefer to be with instead
of runnin' around here & there... Plus the money issue
(follows to some extent from the first)

You can tell where you are (in pm if you doint want it on the webb;
anyway I'll pm ya right after this in any case, so that ya got my mailadr),
I'm an old Copenhagen dweller... ?

Is Huset still there?

Then ya might see me "nede i byen" some day.
I long to Christiania; a free state for
an Anarcho-Decentral-issy-mmissy-mist like myself...
And I aint talkin' about the pot thing; just Freedom...

I was thinking about all the shows I have seen after seeing the other thread a few days ago. I am going to try to make a list. My best I have thought of so far:
Stones 1/99 Oakland - indoors with seat in front - awesome
The Who 1980 Oakland - Pete was on fire
David Bowie 1978? Oakland - what a showman - had the arena in the palm of his hand - might be the best show I have seen
Thin Lizzy - '77? Winterland S.F. although '79? might have been better
Nils Lofgren - '77? Santa cruz
Honorable mention - Springsteen in about '77 and '79, U2, The Kinks in about '80
Van Halen in '79 in Rainbow Theatre London
most notable - Sex Pistols last concert, in S.F. in 1/78

Troubador, can you remember Hendrix's performance at the 5/15/70 Temple show? If anyone's interested in this, I could post a recording of Jimi's set to Hot Stuff. I'm a Hendrix fanatic, but I'm not sure if any of you would be interested in something like that (or if I'd be stepping on toes by posting non-Stones stufF).
