Yes, Stones will do Biggest Mistake

"Biggest mistake" is to be released in Europe this spring.
The new single should push up the ticket sales, too.

Serious? It's an OK tune, but hardly a single IMO.

Serious.
Airplay is starting as a Bigger Easter Egg April 15th

IMO one of the worst ABB tracks but one of the few that are playable on normal lalala-radio stations. On the other side, on a rather weak Stones record like Bridges or Steel Wheels it would have been one of the best tunes.

i think Bridges is far better than a Bigger Bang. It's far more interesting and unique. Plus I think the singles are better off of B2B than ABB. Saint of Me is better than absolutely anythign off of ABB.

As long as you don't tell me where you heard that I don't beleive you..

jumpinjackgreg you appear to be one of a few fans who think BTB is better than ABB. There are some great songs on BTB (Gun Face, You Don't Have...) but half of the album are fillers. Saint Of Me really sucks, especially when they played it to dead. But that's just my opinion.

Virgin listed the single for a June/July release in UK. More data soon.

Bridges sucked. Buried in icky production like Dirty Work.

Biggest Mistake? How about She Saw Me Coming? A rocker, anyone?

Time for the easy joke: BM as a single is a Big Mistake. i don't really see the point in another single at all . . .

agree, nikki - that ship has sailed already....

with the stones' tendency to rest on their laurels, expect a Start Me Up re-issue as the next single.

---I am sure they do "Biggest mistake" and "Streets of love" in Europe!!!

Doing Streets of Love would be the Biggest Mistake they do in Europe

I hope not - I've finally convinced my dad to go see the Stones with me in Paris. He's a former Stones fanatic, but hasn't seen them since '81. If they play SOL, all of my attempts at convincing him that the Stones still rock will have been for naught!!

I even like Let Me Down Slow more than Biggest Mistake - it has a good and also radio friendly groove.
Biggest Mistake would be the biggest mistage to release as a single.

My choices would be LIND, She Saw Me Coming or Under The Radar.

surprised its that far in advance. I've heard it on radio a couple of times already

Good song and IMO one of the best tracks on the album. Whilst I agree that its pretty pointless releasing singles by a band in their 60's whose singles get minimal airplay as it is, I think that in a market like Europe, "Biggest Mistake" is almost too 'country' sounding to get much attention.

'It Wont Take Long' would be a better choice (although I think BM is the better of the 2 songs)

and yeah, they'll play the single in Europe for sure. They played Rain fall Down pretty solidly for a couple of months at the end of 2005/early 2006 but its been dropped from most shows lately since its radio shelf-life expired.

congrats to the band. in releasing the two biggest turkeys of their career as singles (SOL & BM) they'll no doubt win a shit load of new fans

worst song on abb
one of the worst ballad they've ever written (the contest is with SOL)
if they play bm at my concert i will turn and show them my back
they have the perfect single (SSMC) and one of the greatest ballad they've written (LIND) and they deliver BM?!?!!
@#$%& them

Is not a good choice, but I can't see too much single stuff on ABB. SSMC is pedestrian at best, it won't get airplay anywere. LMDS could be a good single, or It Won't Take Long.
Let's face it, the material on ABB is very similar, no stand out songs and the singles choices are very hard to find, and even worse, get airplay on the radio with a stuff that didn't sound like the shit on the radio.

Biggest Mistake is a good song. Probably a better song than anyone on this board (including me) could write. She Saw Me Coming got some airplay here in Ohio. I think it would be the best choice for the next single.
