Which instruments do you miss?

Which instruments do you want the stones to use more of, that you miss?

I'd say sitar, clavinet, dulcimer, tambourine, marimbas, congas, more shakers, more COWBELL. And that type of drumming that sounds like timpani?? in Just Wanna See his Face.

I've always noticed that on their recent tours on a lot of songs you can always hear some kind of rattling, shakers, congas or a tamobrine in the background. thats always a common feature of their live shows.

Yeah. That's why I love the damn song! But they should have been on for example Rough Justice too. Like on the 60's rock and roll.

Miss You, I remeber discussion the clavinet with you about the song 100 years ago. I was talking a bout a particular way it was being used that I thougth sounded dated, but I would like to state for the record that I have nothing against the clavinet per se. Not on the sense that I feel "attacked" or any kind of non sense. I just would like to state that. Woudnt' mind hearing it in more songs acutally.

HAAAH!. triangle on angie. I heard that on some of the shows of 75, that they got a "steel drum marching band", whatever that is, to play during sympathy. I think thats what I heard. It sounds like theres a lot of added percussion on the Love You Live version- more than just Ollie Brown. I also heard that at one of the MSG shows Carlos Santana, who opened for them played on Sympathy.

How about more car-honking too. And some rhaitas & gimbri. That bike effect at the beginning of Continental Drift was pretty cool. Loved the clapping & chanting on LIND & Sing This All Together.

I'd also like to hear them do a jazzy-sultry slow burning piano & trumpet song with great vocals, kinda like Melody but more bluesy.

I'd like to hear more instruments like they used on CONTINENTAL DRIFT, that Moroccan sounding drums and woodwinds. More flutes would be great and more congo drums to supplement Charlie, not that he needs it but it would be different.

I would like more prominent horns like on Rocks Off, Happy, I Got the Blues etc. To often they are too far down in the mix eg Sad Sad Sad...

Not necessarily (rather not) at the same time.
Plus much much more piano.
And harmonica (well, keep on usin it!).
