Such a damm fine tune!!Dont you think LWM is very good!!The lyrics are so funny!!

Re: Live with Me.

you cite one of the best! Anybody else love that Keith lays down possibly the coolest bass intro ever? of course that's arguable...but what a groove, and as an example of the Keith/Charlie rhythm section, along with the intro to 'Monkey Man' its a great thing

I think Bobby Keys and Jim Price stole some attention on the 71-live-versions, it worked better on the 69 tour. Great song! Strange that they didn't play it between 1971 and 1994 (apart from 2-3 shows in 73).
Mick's vocals on the original version is really great. Especially the first sentence, he sounds as a razor-sharp-rock&roll-demon.

It seems to me those three songs are linked!!!Live with Me..Stray Cat Bitch.

You're right rooster. They were missing from 1971 (or 73) to about the 90s.
Then again they are songs with sexual lyrics and groove. Perhaps Mick didn't feel right about it after he got married. Then he had sex all the time, and got bored. To play R&R was the thing he longed for instead of sex, it's only rock'n roll. Because sex was just a daily routine.

I believe the sax is the best part of the song and I must say that my favourite versions are from 71 and 94.

I just think it had the same sax/trumpet as Hang Fire in 1982. A bit tight, not that loose rock'n roll feeling. If I should be critical.
Perhaps this was a lame post again.

I think the fade-out of this song sounds SOOO good on Let it bleed. Esp the playing of Bobby Keyes, and either Ian S. Or Niki H. on piano, whoevers playing.

It's an important song. Both Taylor and Keys had their first Stones recording on this one.
