There's a couple of mighty fine boot DVD's of Ladies & Gentlemen floatin' around.
The 4REEL version carries bonus material and Bad Wizard comes in wide screen.

You can try [www.rsconcerts.com] (important, the "Video Format" is so-called NTSC). I bought mine from riizzo@pacbell.net. Enjoy!

Folks:

you can download this for free at [www.thetradersden.org]

Go to the "Video Bit Torrents Download" section and there you'll find it. It has 57 seeders right now.

cheers!

Canadian Sway:

Be prepared. Strap yerself in good and tight. There is the distinct possibility of being totally BLOWN AWAY if yer not good and ready.

I'm almost jealous. Can you imagine seeing Mick & Keith at the mic for Dead Flowers or Happy for the first time. And after listening to this, tell me that Mick Taylor isn't a god.

i really hate to be so picky.
but my old computer doesn't play NTSC files, anyone have it on mpeg, or avi?
im really wanting to see this, if i like it, i would definately consider buying, but as i am a university student, money is scarce, even for my stones collection.

never ever a thread about whether taylor was firing hot on any given night or show or session ever...or even a particular lead on a particular song on a particular night... nope.. not EVER...

no offense intended.... ronnie is precious, unreplaceable...
just add taylor...

which they never will... which is a shame sorta...
if barney's so worried 'bout the bottom line...
they could get rid of 1, 2 or 3 or 4 of the other on-stage personnel...
and easily have a wonderous time of ferocious indelible newly inspired and powered music...
but they won't...

that being said... relax ronnie fans... i love black and blue, some girls, tatto you...
ronnie's a hero since jeff beck's first two solos and all the Faces stuff...
seen 'em live at fillmore east...ohboy...totally great.

love the 2003 tour; think mick's getting better and better as a vocalist...i'm not mired in the past...love this tour...(featuring mostly taylor era stuff)
as per usual...

but the ronnie criticism thread today has a lot of honest and interesting posts...
tho i guess oldtimers at iorr are sick to death of this stuff...
i'm not. yet.

ronnie's 'if you can't rock me' from msg 1-2003 shows how incredible he is...
eyes closed...right arm stretched out...pumping that wah pedal and feeling it; and putting it out beautifully...

also like a lot VL very very much...and at least 3 on ABB...i think are totally wonderous...
started a thread last week about one great stunning 12 song studio album
u could compile, strictly from 1990 on, after SW, after Bill was gone, after
the decade turned... and if you scoop up a few from ABB & Babylon...add highwire...keep most of VL... wow.

bein' more than just respectful...ronnie's a stone...
but....see first line of this post...
also think these last two tours have been an incredible return to form, and an advance in some ways...very exciting as is... but as long as we are FORUM-ING on this point:

keith goes back to mostly rhythm, obviously not on the chuck berry stuff he has famously, souped on up, and justifiably appropriated...

which he was so completely excited about during ya-ya's, SF and exiles era stuff...it's not like K can't throw in any lick anytime he wants to anyway...or ron for that matter.

K changed his story later but he was so excited, publically, and really way enthused about working with taylor in the band, and really driving the rhythm section with charlie... and bill wouldn't hurt things either...

it's only after taylor left that he started whining about there shouldn't be so much lead guitar and rhythm guitar seperation... that's bullshit... taylor was more than lead lines...taylor's rhythm playing and signature licks also drove keith into the best solos of his life...and was an integral part of the rhtymic creation of most of the 'premiere' warhorses... brown sugar and honky tonk comin' to mind immediately...
keith plays better lead with taylor in the band...
as well as being more consistently responsible for running the band...
not leavell...
keith's rhtyhm and lead would benefit...

having taylor back would be almost akin, in a strange way...to when clapton has guested with the band...only better.

so glad u r about to see 'ladies and gentlemen'...
taylor like bill.. just stands there...but is totally awake and into it...
and driving the machine real hot and gorgeous...
purty interesting is it not?
talk about 'stripped' etc...
very simply, ladies and gentlemen, the rolling stones...

i agree... but the stones are so closed off to changes.... i don't think mick taylor will ever play with them... it would prey on keith and ron's insecurities.... they seem happy with themselves and i don't think they are that interested in testing themselves or changing things..

in other words what they should do and what they will do are two different things..

also, don't be surprised if by now keith has bought into his "weaving" spin.. its been along time he's been spreading that around and when you spread shit around for a long time you start to believe its true...

i also agree with what you said about mick jagger as a vocalist...

its not fashionable to say but i think he sounds better than ever.. its crazy but if i compare mick jagger singing today to 1981 (the kansas city boot thats on the trade page for example) he sounds SO much better

even if ron and keith are more ragged now mick's singing means they actually sound better!

thats the crazy thing about this tour.. mick is singing so well...evidently he's taking serious care of his pipes and has been learning how to sing (instead of screaming)..

now that doesn't mean i don't love his singing in 72..that ultra cocky brash macho singing was awesome too.. but since around that time i'd have to say he sounds best today..which is something i can't get over..

i agree that mick sounds amazing on this tour, but i would like to see him singing in his cocky out landish rockstar phase, can anyone help me find ladies and gentlemen?
or would anyone be willing to trade me for it? i dont know that i have much, but i can do something, if someone was willing to mail it to me.

yah did not mean to get offtopic..

i don't have the ladies and gents video and i can't figure out how to use bittorrent at rocks off or anywhere to go faster than 15 kbps... once when i downloaded the rio audio i got to 80 at one point but that was a one off... and downloading at 15 kbps is just no feasible for a dvd... sad thing is i have a real fast connection so i should be loving it.. problem probably lies in some security or firewall issue which i can't figure out....if i could i'd be a pig in shit.. with all the awesome stuff thats on that rocks off torrent board..

You could save 1 euro a month and in four years, you would have 48 euro, which should be enough to buy the official DVD of Ladies and Gentlemen, in glorious remastered picture and sound, which they will get around to releasing in 2011 or so.
