This is the setlist they're playing right now in Japan?

Re: Tokyo Setlist please post here

Why don't they publish the setlist for the rest of the tour - then they really could take the joy away finding out which songs are to be played.....

Now Shidoobee's role publishing the songs one by one is gone and the exitement as well.......

fantastic idea,
we can disect and debate the Barcelona setlist, 2 months in advance!

That would create a nice setlist debate here! Then the arguement "If you weren't there, you can't judge!" would be useless, untill showtime!

have you ever heard of time zones?

They don't always have the setlists in advance, just sometimes. Anyway, if you are at the venue, you could watch them write the setlist on Charlie's plexiglass barriers if you wanted. Anyway, just got back from the show. It started at 8:05 p.m. or so, and ended almost exactly 2 hours later. The place was far from sold out (many side of stage sections were left empty), but there were enough people to make the dome seem full. It was a good show, although not a fiery performance. Keith was rock solid, and he and Ronnie did a fantastic job on She's So Cold, which I have heard them butcher. Ronnie was a little up and down. Some of his solos left me scratching my head a little, but he and Keith were real tight on SSC and Brown Sugar (I have not enjoyed that number as much as tonight in a long time). I thought that Rain Fell Down/Night Time was a bit of a let down after Sway/ATGB/TD, but it was nice to have Paint It Black back in the set. We are back up to 21 songs after only 19 at RCMH. The Stage was the US on-stage set, and there were people there, although on-stage tickets were not sold. I have no idea who they were. The B-Stage was way back on the field, practically sitting on second base. I think that Aus/NZ/EU can look forward to the same. Hopefully, they have retired the South American stage. It's hard for Tokyo Dome shows to be "great" simply because the venue has such poor acoustics, but looking around me, I sure didn't see anyone complaining! I

there's no back and forth with numbers on the setlist
it is just 21 when they don't play MR (and they always add PIcool smiley, and 20 with MR
it's always been this way so far. RCMH was a on time only (a part form a gig when mick was sick, if i remember correctly)

about tokyo setlist, the first 6 should not get the usual complaints
maybe the last six would
i guess, by now, we can consider sway one of the band's favourite numbers in the first half setlist rotation
and if someone remember the immediate comments of the stones camp after the first performance...

Actually, they started at 22 songs in Boston, dropped to 21 (w/most arenas 20), and then in South America most of the shows had only 20 songs. This is an obsession w/me.

With me too smiling smiley
MSG got 22 songs in September '05 as well.

they've always played some more songs on opening night(s)
but i think that the main setlist rule is: if MR is on then it's 20, if not then it's 21 (and the song added - always in the same spot - is PIcool smiley
sometimes they play MR and PIB together but then they drop something else
I think the point for them is to stick to a 2hrs o'clock show
We usually get 20 songs because they think MR works very well (and they're right, it seems to be very often the highlight of the show)

"The place was far from sold out (many side of stage sections were left empty), but there were enough people to make the dome seem full."

Will probably be the same in Germany, and therefore the reason why it will be the last worldwide stadiumtour......

20 songs isn't so coool
but 4 ABB tunes
sway
and a few sort of gems like tears go by, get off my cloud and lets spend the night together make for a good showing

why isn't everyone else pumped that sway is getting regular rotation now?

with sway (and atgb) they're doing waht i like best (and wish they do it more)
not throwing many "one night only" rare numbers
but choose some and play it regularly during the tour

about stadium tours i think it will be the best thing that can happen to them artistically
the only thing i am afraid of is that if they stop stadium tours they would stop tours period.
if they go on but the market forces them to play only arena/theatres in the years to come i think we will have great fun and satisfaction

If "Sway" and "As Tears Go By" back to back makes you bored then it is time to book a ticket to the next Garth Brooks tour. They did the best ever version of "Satisfaction" - and you can't see that from reading the set list.
