1. Under My Thumb.
2. Brown Sugar.
3. Little T&A.

And then I love Black Limousine.. Jumping Jack Flash is a gas too. Midnight Rambler should not be forgotten. Oh and ofcourse Honky Tonk Woman. Little Queenie is allot of fun too. I left out Rough Justice.. Too many!!

YCAGWYW (75-76 live versions)
Ventilator Blues (riff plus leads)
and of course any Sympathy

Reptile-you have good taste! Recently I taught my mom how to play Black Limo on piano (she hasnt played in years) so we could jam...it doesnt sound too bad with just an old piano and 78 Tele!

Empty Heart - Much harder than album version

Sympathy - ya-ya's version

Street Fighting Man - live version

Dead Flowers - fun one

Stray Cat Blues - Rough and raw of course. NOT the Live Licks speed up version

love in vain-yayas/stripped hybrid; even recorded it in studio 12/18/99, keef's b'day

sympathy-yayas

winter

let it loose

used to play tons of stuff in open G, but strats are a pain to tune that way (whammy bar/springs adversely affect string pressure; you end up in open G# if you want any string tension), so i usually only play standard tuned stones except a few days a year.

thanks Glass. How do you play Let It Loose, with or without capo?

The best is:

You Can't Always Get What You Want from Forth Worth 1972
Angie from Brussels 1973

The Taylor solo is really the best I've ever heard.

Try to play it!!!

I'm also a guitar player for more than fifteen years and the taylor playing I think is more than worth to practise.

You are welcome. Let It Loose, I play with the capo
on the 3rd fret, std tuning. Same as Love In Vain and
actually, the studio version of JJ Flash, in addition to the
open tuning (forget whether it is D or E--same tuning really
just one has a higher pitch) has a std tuned guitar with the capo on
the 3rd fret. Makes for a nice little set.

Otherwise from the ones mentioned before,

1. Stray Cat Blues (like Keith plays it on Four Flicks)

2. Wanna Hold You (B2B Tour-like)

3. Waiting On A Friend (on acoustic)

oh man there are so many and they're all fun to play actually...

Street Fighting Man
Bitch
Happy

I know they're all pretty easy (I'm not the greatest guitar player) but those riffs are just really pleasurable to play.

oh and I forgot, Already Over Me is a good one too. I know its not the most loved song here, but it makes for a good ballad to play/sing. If anybody plays slide, No Expectations is a fun one. As for non-Stones, there are lots, but i enjoy playing LZ's "The Ocean" (How the West Was Won version), Ronnies "Mystifies Me", Black Crowes "Twice As Hard", anything by Chuck Berry, etc.

Does anyone here play JJF intro chords.I saw in Guitar World Mag that on the studio recording Keith tuned to e EBEG#BE but it's a bit tricky to play.YCAWGWYW is better played in E tuning with the capo on the eighth fret. The Black Crwoes,She Talks To Angels is in E too.I like the open G too for Start Me Up,Brwon Sugar etc.Is Love Is Strong in open G??Street Fighting Man?

I need some tablature for Love in Vain Stripped style.Does anyone have it or know where to get it??

JJF
Rocks Off
Wild Horses

All played in stnadard tuning...fingers may cramp more than with open G, but I still cannot get the hang of Open G even after years.

you play JJF in standard? Try it in open tuning, it'll sound surprisingly authentic!

a few of you like playing bitch, i see. Then why don't the Stones play it on guitar anymore? I hate the horn-heavy version of recent days. It should be a guitar rocker!

Exactly nikki, listen to Perth 73 version and be amazed...but then this tour's version is kind of watered down unfortunately. However, the horns on this song, at their appropriate times, DO add to the song.

There is a guitar in the studio version of JJ Flash that is most definitely
in std tuning, capoed at the third fret--it is actually the guitar you here in the intro. There, of course is also an open tuned guitar. On the studio it is not in open G--think it might be in E or possibly D.

Of course, live, it is G tuning.

Yeah, I think there are like 4 guitars on JJFlash. IORR is probably the trademark "guitar layering" song, I think it has like 8 lol.
