Gee they have made more money on this tour so far then anyone else ever has and with the exceptions of a few bad reviews from low lifes on this board they are getting great reviews. So if you think there pathetic you must need your head examened.

i dont see why people think the stones are so bad this tour- i saw fenway I, Columbus and MSG 1/20, and i think they sound as good now as they ever have before- and i dont know very many other 60 year olds who can still move around liek they can- so i would like to know why people keep ripping the stones this tour- i dont ever remember this kind of criticisim before

Well, I hate to be over negative of the band I'ved loved for all these years, but they sure dissapoint me. Sorry if Im too negative about their performance but that is truly how I feel.

The playing sounds great, Mick is in top form...the problem is the warhorses / set list....they really need to add 2 more songs of rare ones...

MTTLACROIX, you're so right about MACCA. I agree with it all. The only thing about him is, as we all now know from his confession last week on Oprah, that whole Meth addiction thing he's into. He claimed it was natural and all that but if that's true then what's the reason for the horrible hair dye colors? That's a total Meth thing.....

That's quite a statement to make really, given that lots and lots and lots of people have seen them and continue to wish to see them - and yet for you they were no good and it would appear that they could do much better ?

Could you be a little less vague and give us some detail as to why exactly they were "no good" and what exactly they would have to do in your opinion in order to meet the criteria of "doing better" ? And for that matter, what exactly is it about them that in your opinion renders them "pathetic" ? I for one am really curious to know.

(a) A person's opinion, positive or negative, is not "news". News are the facts. For example, the fact that the Stones once again is the most successful live act in the planet. And by far the best, i add (that's an opinion of course). IMO this is their best tour since 1995.

(a) You mention what JohanG is writing at the end of his post, but look at the title of his thread... Do you think people on this board can take seriously the question "Is Stones the most pathetic band touring right now?". The provoking game is so boring anymore...

The Rolling Stones are my fav band. I accept good and bad things. So does every music, art lover, stamp collector, train enthusiast or whatever takes our interest. Nothing or no one is perfect. But the Stones keep our appetite wet even if we criticise them or celebrate their glory. So even those that like to knock them are unwittigly keeping them at the forefront of music. So there!

Its hard to voice an opinion here that is negative without people jumping all over you but I think the Stones need to do something instead of rehashing the same songs every time. Come on don't you people want more. I hate having to defend the Stones when people go to concerts than tell me they always play the same songs.

What they should do IMHO is this
Given they play 10 warhorses each night they should...
...add 4 more.
And have like 14 superlicks in the set
but...
divided in 2 sets they could alternate
so it'd be 7 different warhorses each night

At this stage in their game I feel half the loaf is better than no loaf at all.
