Quite recently the Stones said they would not play in Israel on this tour. Also I believe the situation is not as stable as it should be vs. security there right now, so that might be the reason why they can't do it. Plus they are running out of available dates. The summer seems pretty packed, and it is a long way down to Israel. It would take 5 days of trucking time minimum. So they are building up a backlog of places they should play on the next tour:
- India - Bangkok - Beijing - Dubai - Israel - South Africa - +++

Why next tour? Why not in the fall this year??? The Boys could go on starting this fall in October for maybe an extra month or so. Would be fabulous!!!!
It would be great if they could play those places in the fall, but they may not make it onto the schedule. The rumours say they will place some more U.S. shows in the fall.
IMO: I think that the Stones will hover around the States in the Fall for a return swing through some of the bigger markets that can't seem to get enough of them: LA, SF & New York....(No Security - or at least not enough in many spots overseas - why risk 40+ years?!)
Of course, this train of thought is a bit selfish- as I only saw 2 shows so far - and HAVE to go to some more!
If they would go back to the States after Europe i would really get the feeling they are milking it out. They have only done this in '99 and they made a full tour of it with a different name and they had some time to overcome before they went to Europe for there postponed shows from the '98 leg.
But on the other hand, they are not getting any younger so they don't know themselves if there is going to be another tour or that this will be the last time.
This is their last tour--I guarantee it--so I'm sure they'll hit as many places as they can, including the States again, perhaps.
Does anyone really want to see Mick and Keith at 66, Charlie at 68 performing on a 2008/2009 tour? Behind another Don Was-produced album that would probably sell around 250,000 copies in the U.S.?
