it's actually a good album this one.

But there are other very good songs on this record too! In fact all the songs are good - the only one not so much after my liking is Pretty Beat up!

please don't shoot me...but for some reason this album didn't hold up too well..i don't know if its the mix...too dark like dirty works..or too puck sounding.
i remember when it was 1st released..i was with my girlfriend and right after it 1st played on us radio i was so excited i asked her to marry me..(she said yes.)
i said this is a true rocker...loved it..
after ty. which at the time i only liked side 1.. side 2 was ok.. love it now..
but undercover had almost every song was a rocker..
after a few months undercover just kind of faded away..i rank it just above dirty works as the stones all time worst album..

i don't know whats wrong with this album but it isn't like the rest of the stones work..i think its because jagger was getting into the punk sound..

but really its not just the first three tracks that are the best..."Feel on Baby" sets a great reggae mood, "All the Way Down" has great lyrics, and the outro to "It Must Be Hell" is classic

Does anybody else remember reading that Feel On Baby was about a homosexual experience that Mick Jagger had.

I feel that "Too Tough" is the strongest track on the album.

At first listen "Undecover"didnt catch me, but over the years I have grown to like the song a lot. It is a unique song in a way (electric over-dubbed drums..80's 80's 80's) for the Stones but that beat just kicks ass and I don't feel that it sounds dated, a talent the Stones have for making music.

After that I am not too sure. I like "Pretty Beat Up", a good groove. a sonically dense song, buried vocals, reminds me of the way Exile rocker songs were mashed together

In the end, what the hell do I know?

I've always liked this album. I know it's not a favorite for everyone, but I find it's one that I play fairly often.
