well, if you really think they're boring.....maybe it's time for you to move on to another band..........yeah, their guitar playing has diminished over time/drink/drugs......but all of those great tunes and an excellent new cd...they've still got plenty to offer.....personally, it's hard not to enjoy it......look at it this way......you've always got their back catalogue and the boots to fall back on

If you don't like the Stones the way they are now why don't you go somewhere else with your frustration? Why do you bother normal people who can still enjoy the Stones in 2006 and beyond? This is a Stones forum and if you feel you are growwing away from the band then fine, you will save some money, because any band is cheaper, and you may find other bands to enjoy.

It is like saying they should stop making red wine, because you do only like white wine. Logic for you but makes no sense to many others.

Esky we are concerned about your state of health, mentally that is.
This band isn't boring at all. It's just all the bands that try to copy them
all the time and without success.
We are all humble to the fab 4 oldies, cause they still are going really strong.
When they decide to put their career to an end, this world won't be the same.
Here at this forum we cherish their efforts to keep us happy.
We, all the fans are thankfull and humble to these efforts.

I have the same opinion that Esky but I don't post to offend anyone.

Yeah I like the Stones but not for the same reasons than a majority on this board.
The last tour I really enjoyed was No Security.
I'm not a big fan of the greatest hits set-lists and I think the warhorses were played better years ago, why ?? Guitars were really there in the mix.
I know they are old but what about doing something different (My dream : a blues disc).

In fact, I don't like big stadium shows and too professional shows. Saw them in 2003 in Paris Bercy and was very disappointed; 4 days later I was at the Olympia and it was just an other story, one of the best shows I've seen.
Nowadays I still listen to a lot of Stones, but I'm more interested by artists/groups like Dylan/Black Crowes/Gov't Mule/Springsteen, never the same shows; a lot of variety in the set-lists; different arrangements..

But don't blame me, if you enjoy this tour it's cool and I won't post more about that. Enjoy the tour if you attend show(s).
