Poseurs? Please explain. Is it the money? Is it the music? I find it funny how so many here love The Monkees but hate Green Day. Hell, at least one is a real band.

For those who doubt their origins and that they were, once, a ‘real’ punk outfit, they should take a listen to their first two, pre-major label albums: 39/Smooth and 1992’s, Kerplunk! Both are raw, passion-filled and brimming with teenage energy. So exuberant and exhilarating.
