Is that really country? I get more of a tex/mex (maybe more mex) feel from that one..

It's a shame they didn't record more Country songs...they are so good at it.
I hate country...I don't own one country album...but I love the way The Stones do Country...and I would welcome a Stones cover album of Country standards...(and I couldn't list 10 songs)...but from the ones they recorded...I would know that it would be great.

I have to say...the English bands really know how to expand on American bands and genres and blow them away...

Country Honk would seem to be the most obvious choice.............

Too many bizzare tunes are mentioned in this thread. "Connection"???

Here are the tunes that style-wise are country-inspiered. A tune like "Wild Horses" are not country. It's an acoustic ballad. Very different.

High & Dry
Dear Doctor
Factory Girl
Country Honk
Let It Bleed
Dead Flowers
Sweet Virginia
Far Away Eyes
Do You Think I Really Care
No Spare Parts
You Win Again
We Had It All
The Worst

No Spare Parts and Do You Think I Really Care are more country than The Worst, imo. The Worst has a pre-country, irish vibe to it as well, though smiling smiley

Always wanted to ask this question. On "Far away Eyes" Mick was "driving home early Sunday morning from Bakersfield" do you think he went to see Buck Owens?
