Lukester....nice pic of you & the sweet neocon, lol. Canada Day is July 1 of every year. It's a celebration of the anniversary of the formation of the union of the British North America provinces in a federation under the name of Canada on July 1, 1867.
All canadians have the day off to be patriotic, so it's always a big party, especially where I grew up in Ottawa the nation's capital. Hence the red & white beads in my hair to match the colors of the canadian flag! Thousands gather on Parliament Hill with flags painted on their faces, for concerts and public intoxication & disconduct, to watch the changing of the guard, fireworks etc.
