"King bee" is one of my favourites. And don't forget the very relaxed version they did on Stripped of "Little Baby"...

would love to hear them do "King Bee", this summer.

The 22-20's do a great cover, in their set.

the two RJ covers stand apart from all others, IMO - in that these songs were completely re-written and actually IMPROVED on the masterful originals somehow. Don't think you can say that about any other covers in their library....

Of the two Slim Harpo covers, I have always thought that "Hip Shake" improved on the original, wheras the earlier "King Bee" did not.

That heightened mastery of blues material pretty much sums up the Stones' progress from '64 to '71.

Also: the unreleased "Still A Fool" is an incredible performance--if perhaps a little too faithful to be one of the all-time great covers.

so do Hey Crawdaddy, Don't Lie to Me and Little Queenie (but the thread's asking about studio recordings).

lest we forget:
