Why don´t the fans bring "open the vaults" to the shows...
They will never read/receive letters and emails.

Before the LIcks tour I think it was Hendrik Mulder (Love you Live) who got contacted about the Stones management about which number we hoped would be played live. We chose CYHMK than, so why should they not listen seriously to us this time? As long as the request is realistic and we should not overask.

Yeah but didn't they just release Rarities?

Mick's all about that "I'm for the future, who cares about the past" attitude. In a sense, there's nothing wrong with that outlook but what's wrong with opening the vaults and continuing to make new music?

An absolutly splendid idea!! I remember I read something familiar years ago at a Mick Taylor website (that doesn't exsist anymore). Anyway people were signing for a release of "John Philips with the stones" which later became "Pay Pack And Follow"! I'm an optimist, It's worth a try! How about releasing the finshed mixed and produced double live album from '72 -complete with the Stevie Wonder side and the Ladies and Gentlemen movie as a nice little bonussmiling smiley Still hoping and praying...

STP, I think you hit the nail on the head. I think they will release that album some day, and with the trend toward bonus tracks and dvd's, I can easily envision it in exactly the format you speak of. A BIG MONEY MAKER IT WOULD BE for the Stones, yessiree.

I would loooove that release, all remastered (or just mastered would be nice!) and complete, no dubs... How sweet it would be. Stonesfans would have little to complain about then.

A good example. In addition to this one I personally hope for:
- a compleet '73 + '75 + '78 DVD
- Black and Blue rehearsals (with different guitarists)
- Bridges + ABB rehearsals / outtakes
- Vredenburg 2003 in soundboard
- Exile outtakes / rehearsals

the vaults won't open until the Stones aren't around to make those decisions anymore. sad, 'cos the chances of me giving a damn by then are small....

I bet your probably right. But is there any example of a Rolling Stones fan club handing over a list of signatures asking for more unreleased gems? I've never heard about it. We have nothing to loose! In fact, when somone already poped the question, it's wrong not to do anything about it. How about just making a new tread called "vote for valuts" or something?

Ok, but who will take the lead? And let's propose together with Shoebidoo to give it more weight. I totally agree, nothing to lose just to win!

How about simply putting out an official DVD of the Capitol Theatre show in New Jersey from 1978? I'd be happy with that.
