unless I missed it,mentioned in the above posts, "Blue" would be cool, - And some MJ/Red Devils blues - I remember late '92 or '93 the MJ/Red Devils album was considered, or planned for release - instead he put out his best solo album (imo, natch) Wandering Spirit...Ever so slightly OT, I always loved Chic (1977 - 1984 - RIP) - the disco band, much influenced by Roxy Music, much sampled, & a terrific funk & jazz influenced group ("At Last I Am Free" is one all time fave gorgeous ballad, covered by Robert Wyatt) When I heard Chic's guitar player/co-producer Nile Rodgers had co produced She's The Boss, with Bill Laswell (another fave bassist/producer/promoter of killer music), expectations ran high...Too bad, quite a high profile cast of musicians on there too. Except for a few good groove tunes (Lucky In Love, the title cut) it doesn't quite live up to either strong funk/dance album or a major debut solo statement after nearly a quarter century w/ the Stones. Compared to Primitive Cool, however, I dig it. Back to Rarities, I'd add Mick's soundtrack (around 12 minutes of aggressive, throbbing synth) to Kenneth Anger's "Invocation Of My Demon Brother." ('70). Mick did quite a few collaborations which may not count - Tackhead's Strange Things, "State Of Shock" etc.

Yes, State of Shock would be nice, in fact a great song me thinks!
I have to say I like some songs on She's The Boss too. Just played some songs the other day, and they are not so bad afterall (like Lucky In Love, Just Another Night)
What must the outtakes of that album be like?
There were only 10 on the album, and they must have had plenty of studio time!

I this still available?
I heard about this and saw it in a list of someone who had to list his 10 favorite albums.

I never heard it and I can't find it anywhere.

BowieStone,I only know "Invocation" from the film - like Brian's "Degree Of Murder" it was never issued on a soundtrack - officially, that is. ADOM & Mick's ost has been booted. The film was available officially, fairly cheap on Mystic Fire video as part of a 3 or 4 volume set of Anger's complete works titled "The Magick Lantern Cycle," - on the same tape as 1980's "Lucifer Rising" w/ Marianne Faithfull, which had this credit: "Presented by Anita Pallenberg"

BowieStone

On Nico Zentgraf's website The Complete Works you can find info on how to get the CD "Various Artists - Lords Of Chaos" with Mick Jagger's soundtrack of Invocation Of My Demon Brother.

Go to:
then click on "go to collectors news"
then click on "2003 Pt.1" in the menu on the left side of the page
then scroll down to 03/30/03 and there it is!

"Streets of the Sleepy City" on Metamorphosis.

This song was Mick's attempt at doing Tom Jones.

The thread got me thinking, do you think Jagger will ever release a singles compilation with some interview and video extras?

Something like

Memo From Turner / Don't look back / state of shock / dancing in the streets / just another night / lucky in love / running out of luck / primitive cool / let's work / hard woman / say you will / ruthless people / sweet thing / out of focus / don't tear me up / god gave me everything / visions of paradise / old habits die hard
