I think so. DO you remember hearing about one or both passing?
God, I hope they're still alive. Love those cats.

Billy Gibbons would be incredible... maybe doin' Tumblin' Dice... anyone have a tape with these two ??

Keith and Clapton have the makings of a great duo, just have to work at it to get on the same page but they're a natural fit on alot of numbers.

His stuff with Willie Nelson is just perfect... anything Keith / Willie is great... especially the Dead Flowers type stuff.

Can't imagine some of the great stuff Keith and Waylon could have done, don't think they ever collaborated... could have done some REALLY DARK stuff, and some "cryin' in your beer" stuff like "We Had it All"...

Keith and Jimmy Page could be incredibly interesting, depending on what songs they select.

The potential monster sleeper would be Keith and Mick Mars... imagine them jammin' on Street Fightin' Man... would be such a different, great sound.

Keith and Johnny Winter on Jumpin' Jack Flash ... that might blow the roof off the place... or a deep "loser blues" collaboration on "Blackjack", would be real dark.

Bonnie Raitt and Keith can be really good.

Here's an idea... Keith and and this great guitarist who plays alot of smallish venues: Mick Taylor!

That's a wish list for starters...

Nice combo ideas, Bayou boy.

Particularly Bonnie Raitt! I would love to hear Keith and Bonnie do something together. Her sweet slide against Keef's rhythm on some country-ish blues and some swampy funk could be quite tasty!

Keith and Waylon are (were) kindred spirits as well! That would have been interesting, too bad it cant happen.

Of course you lost me with Mick Mars!

I know "Familyman" is still alive and touring with The Wailers. If my memory serves me well, Carl is jamming with Bob and Peter! I could be wrong, I will research it!

I think Richards would go nuts playin' with Motley Crue, in a way they are the closest band to a "modern Rolling Stones"...

With Sagittarius Nikki Sixx, Libra Tommy Lee and Aquarius Vince Neil, Keith would fit in perfectly!

Mick would play those crazy grinding leads of his and Keith could Riff right over it... I'm likin' this more and more I think about it!

keith would feel like he's 39 again playin' with the Crue!

I will very politely, but emphatically disagree with you!

So their astrological signs would make them great together? Oh boy!

I will admit that the addition of Keith would make Motley Crue at least listenable to this Leo!

BornOnTheBayou. there is help for those addicted to bad '80s metal. Just log on to www.80smetalsucks.com. Remember, take it one day at a time. Don't give in to that urge to pop in some Warrant or Poison, play some Stones or some more modern blues rock like the White Stripes or the Black Keys instead. Good luck!

Good ideas for people Keith should jam with. I especially like the suggestions of Thorogood, Johnny Winter and Paul Westerberg. Jack White would be another good one.

80's metal is like any "stereotype"... an exaggeration at best. Can't say I'd know a Warrant tune if it was playing on the radio, and anyone can tell Poison is basically a "one trick horse"...

Comparing Motley Crue to Warrant or Poison is like comparing the Rolling Stones to Strawberry Alarm Clock... they are both "60's bands", beyond that nothing in common.
