Europe Seating ? Front of Stage

Please help me with how the seating works in Europe. I know most if not all are general admission (standing) on the field. But, are there two types of standing tickets - Front of Stage and "Other"? Front of Stage is separated from Other and you don't have to show up so early to get a good view. Or is there just one type and you have to show up when the gates open and sit there for hours until the band comes on?

Thanks.

The "FOS" tickets will have a better view than the GA tickets, since it will be a restricted area closer to the stage.

However I know for sure that people holding a FOS ticket will be there in advance, hoping to be the closest to the stage itself....

Exactly...you have standing FOS and you have standing for the rest of the field.

You can see the difference by the prices..normaly you will find 2 pricesections for standing..the more expansive one is the FOS.

This is for all european countries except England,Scotland and Wales.

Front of stage area will be from the area between the b-stage and the main stage.

Yes, I saw it, but I have to say that I find the area for FOS tickets VERY small... I am not sure that reality will be as shown on this map...

The proportions of this seating chart seem to be a bit off.
But it gives you an idea of how the FOS-section will be positioned with regards to the b-stage and the sound/lighting mixing areas.

Sure it does, but I can tell you I know quite a few fans who are "happy" about the small size for FOS tickets at SDF... I fear they could get very disappointed on June 3rd... just my feeling!

The FOS area is a bit larger now than on previous tours. It used to be a triangle, defined by the B-stage and the edges of the stage. Now it is a rectangle, so it has increased from around 2,500 to approx 4,000 people, from my estimate. The entire field is around 20,000 people or so, meaning the FOS is 20% of the crowd. Still quite ok. Some people want to be in the very front. Others on the side. Ande you can walk in and out without havinmg to worry about getting there, as you will be given a wristband showing you belong to the FOS.
