If there are people who like having Giant frappuccinos and microwave burger with processed cheese there will be people watching fake concerts.

This..... The bar for humanity has gotten very low.

With that, only theatre then with real people of flesh & blood. No cinema, no TV, no animated films. In music then no biopics, no musicals, no tribute bands.

Theatre and cinema do not try to hide that they are representations. But neither do they hide the human beings who perform them. AI can preserve the representation while eliminating precisely the artistic subject. On the other side everyone knows that a film is fiction. Nobody believes the actor truly is the character. But if AI passes off a simulation of the RS as the real RS, then we are no longer dealing with artistic representation but with deceptive substitution. At least that’s how I see it.

Depressingly true! What's wrong with a regular coffee, anyway? Strong, with just a splash of whole milk.

Because cinema is also just an illusion of light .... where did you see in reality a giant ape climbing the Empire State Building? It's just entertainment.

We have many live concert films to enjoy. I would prefer “Ladies and Gentlemen” any time then watching Artificial Intelligence versions of the Rolling Stones. There are concert films for almost every era.

Yes, why not.

AI will increasingly become a part of our lives and we should adapt with it. It's not the same, just a new experience. I'm totally fine with it. And in a way...it is the band, because the model will have been trained on countless hours of actual Rolling Stones footage.

And don't forget the band just used AI to de-age themselves for the new video, so that's a fair endorsement for me.

My personal P-Doom score aside, AI is a constantly evolving technology; don't get left behind.

No one will remember that the Stones used AI to de-age themselves for In The Stars because they did not use AI to de-age themselves - they're not in the video.

Just as AI can be deceptive with its fakery the culture of it is errant with mistakes, misconceptions and fakery. What used to be Photoshopped can now be done with AI only with "live action". AI will never be real.

All cheese is processed. Almost all food is processed, with fruits, veggies and herbs being the least if at all. Corn, modern wheat, grapefruits and oranges do not exist in nature.

I know people that think asking AI for an answer think they're getting the truth - they aren't. It's fascinating how AI has ruined humanity.

Yeah, cool, people are digging the ABBA AI show. Good for them. Maybe not one of them cares that it's fake - they're probably talking half the time and videoing the other half.

There are many recordings from the shows. One which is very well done is Live at the Max.

Give me an AI video of the Stones doing all the great songs that they never performed live then HELL YES, I'm watching. I'd like it to be the real Stones, though, done with very short concert clips spliced together and lip-synched to the studio recordings. With audience noise mixed in. Kind of like a video version of Got Live if You Want It. (us ver). Heck, I'd binge on it. AI could do it, but I wouldn't classify it exactly as AI in the normal sense.

So AI in a non-normal sense?

Fail.

AI is a lie. It's fake. AI is fake. AI is completely fake. You want fake Stones. Cool.

Maybe if the AI could create tours they never did? Like a tour between 1983 and 1988? After Undercover and Dirty Work? That would be something...

One which is very well done is Live at the Max.

It's partly artificial, since some scenes were staged (not filmed live; Turin, 29-Jul-1990). Plus, it's an amalgam of 5 shows in 3 cities.

Way too many parts were mimed to name. Watch Honky Tonk Women intro - Keith has no idea what he's doing because it's mimed. Ruby Tuesday has several bits when Mick is 10 feet from the mic.

At least they kept the screw up in IORR.

Singback rather than miming. They didn't do it for the sound quality or screw ups. It was for the cinematography. To make full use of the Imax format (camera angels, close ups). So the concert footage is heavily tampered with.

There were multiple screw ups during filming so the Stones had a mime to the recorded music aka playback while they shot new footage to mix in with the live footage of the movie. As it was even those consisted of screw ups by the producer and they had to do multiple mime takes.

No continuity with the miming - Keith not knowing how to mime to his guitar, Mick being way off the mic, the over-acting of Keith and Ronnie. It's not an overdub of a live recording but it's similar.

haven't seen this point made. One thing I WOULD pay for is the recorded clear and loud sound of a live outdoor show; forget the AI stuff
