I must have missed something. Apparently Ronnie said they covered Amy Whitehouse on Fallon last night and it is a great song but I don’t recall it coming up

That wasn't included in the broadcast. The YouTube clip is an extended version of the interview.

if they covered AMY that's awesome....I can't wait to hear it!!. They do great covers.

Except Come Together (live)...

It sounded great until it was time for Ronnie to do his solo, which was oddly non-existent.

So far the most exciting thing about the new album is the cover art. The music sounds like (more) AI-Stones.

Based on that snippet of "Back In Your Life" from Ronnie's appearance on Fallon, there's an interesting chord change from G to either G augmented or Eb7#5.

Interesting for the Stones, at least!

Ronnie confirmed it’s an Amy Winehouse cover song.

Interesting and unexpected!

I loved Amy’s Back To Black album.

What song are we talking about?

You Know I’m No Good

Her album is killer and it's a fantastic song. Hopefully they honored it and do it right.

gls i belevie i agree with everything you said

what i was getting at was the shift from there done live to suddenly mick's comments to the associated press and bv's posts here and on facebook pointing to more then a few short promo shows in july being a possibility now beyond that

and that i think it's worthy of discussion here

but of course lets not put the cart before the horse

the album comes first

Looking at the timeline with statements and leaked information, we can say that:

- Of the sessions in LA with Charlie, the last ones with him, between 5 and 6 tracks were completed. Three were released, and another one appears on the new album, leaving one or two more tracks with Charlie for a future album or project.

- Of the 2022-23 sessions, 23 tracks were recorded. Twelve were finished for HD and 11 remain in advanced stages of production.

- Three tracks were salvaged from those sessions for the new album, most likely those featuring Ben Waters and Paul McCartney, for example, who recorded their parts in 2023.

- Ten new tracks were recorded in the 2025 sessions.

- This is where the information comes from that the band has ten more tracks to finish on a future album: the one left over from Charlie in 2019, the eight remaining tracks from HD, and a few others left over from last year's sessions.

Very interesting. Based on this knowledge we can determine this recording information [so far]:

Jan-Feb 2019 sessions w/ Charlie

Living In A Ghost Town [Stand-Alone Single]
Mess It Up [HACKNEY DIAMONDS]
Live By The Sword [HACKNEY DIAMONDS]
Hit Me In The Head [FOREIGN TONGUES]
+ 1-2 more songs for possible future album

HACKNEY DIAMONDS SESSIONS 2022-23

Angry
Get Close
Depending On You
Bite My Head Off
Whole Wide World
Dreamy Skies
Mess It Up (Re-recorded w/ Charlie Drum Track From 2019)
Live By The Sword (Re-Recorded w/ Charlie Drum Track From 2019)
Driving Me Too Hard
Tell Me Straight
Sweet Sounds Of Heaven
Rolling Stone Blues
Rough and Twisted [w/ Ben Waters; FOREIGN TONGUES]
+ Second Paul McCartney song [FOREIGN TONGUES]
+ Second Ben Waters song? [FOREIGN TONGUES]
+ 8 more songs for possible future album

FOREIGN TONGUES SESSIONS 2025-26

In The Stars
Jealous Lover
Mr. Charm
Divine Intervention
Ringing Hollow
Never Wanna Lose You
Hit Me In The Head (Re-recorded w/ Charlie Drum Track From 2019?)
You Know I'm No Good
Some Of Us
Covered In You
Side Effects
Back In Your Life
Beautiful Delilah

Obviously this will be updated with current information as it is revealed.

I enjoy reading the comments on YouTube under the videos.
Young people in their 20s, people in their 80s, and everyone in between. That’s when you really understand what the Stones mean to so many people.
That goes for me, too. My wife always supported me so I could buy records and travel the world for live shows. I’d never heard her say a song was good until she heard “Angry.” She said, “I really think this is a great song.” And six months later, she passed away suddenly. So it remains a special moment for me whenever I hear “Angry.”
In 2021, I had a stroke, from which I’ve mostly recovered. But over the last two years, I’ve had to give up my dogs and my house. Given my age—78—and my health, it was better to move into a senior living facility. You think life is over after 46 years of marriage. But then, in 2026, a new Stones album comes out, and I’m enjoying every minute of these two new songs.

Heard Keith cancelled his appearance with Fallon this week and will do when album is released. Keith appears healthy in various recent sightings but seems a bit off when you factor in the touring uncertainty, etc.

I thought he looked good with Mick and Ronnie, better than in a long time and he sounded great a few months ago talking about guitars.
But something gives me the impression he wasn't happy with the interview situation a few days ago, the body language was off. Yes he's all smiles for the cameras but he's a pro.

The fact he cancelled his interview speaks volumes.

Why were there so many songs written with Charlie that weren't released. Seems strange all that material was pushed to the side for the not so good album filler that made up half of HD.

Re: Foreign Tongues - Album Talks
Date: May 9, 2026 11:54

HD did not have any filler, let alone half. It's all prime rib.
Though this feels like a different beast altogether...

I beg to differ when it comes to the term "leftover".

If they had 30 tracks and chose 11 for Hackney Diamonds (excl. RS blues), that doesn't mean that those were the best ones outta those 30 tracks and that now were getting the "second-best" tracks.

It just means that those were 11 tracks that fit well together and at the same time made a good mixture - including different genres and different moods.

The 30 tracks were a selection from hundreds of demos that Mick made over the years as well as some tracks that Mick and Keith worked on together in Jamaica.

Few days ago, before knowing about the cover by the Stones, I was thinking of Amy.
I was thinking about "Back to black" and how great this album is.Amy's voice and her musical abilities were amazing, showing up by surprise, while the world was listening something else. Thank you Amy.

The Cambridge Dictionary says:

A leftover part of something is the part that has not been used or eaten when the other parts have been.

So there is no negative meaning or intention using the word "leftover".

You're missing the second BW track and what do you mean by "+ Second Ben Waters song? [FOREIGN TONGUES]" ? He said he had recorded 3 tracks with them in early 2023 and the first one to get released is "Rough and Twisted". You could also add that "Driving Me Too Hard" is a rerecording of a 2015 track (shown in B&L booklet)

So...
1. Mick asked about the tour at 0:29 and...oddly cut off [EDIT - answer is at 2:56] that's the answer we got in the article where he said he'd love to tour the album as soon as it's possible.
2. Keith answering the question about the tour at 4:25 "not in 2026, maybe next year..."

Also someone posted on FB that he'd heard a Keith interview on a Boston radio (from the PC ?) where he said the 2026 tour hadn't gone ahead because the itinerary wasn't workable or something like...no other such reports so to be taken with a BIG grain od salt !
