SERIOUSLY stop it.
What if someone in the immediate touring family is sick?

@#$%& this noise.

We have a new album in 2026. Enough.

I don't want to fuel rumors, but I also heard that the band is planning a couple of small shows, maybe two, in New York and London around the release date to promote the album—short, Racket-style shows, six or seven songs, 40 minutes.

I wouldn't be surprised if those shows are recorded and released at the end of the year on a deluxe version of Foreign Tongues, just like they did with HD.

Oh so now you're saying he can play.

Make your mind up.

But only you know how many minutes he can play for?

Keith will decide that in due time, not you, if he dares to play for 35-40 minutes in front of 800-1000 people.

Just saw word on Facebook that they are planning some “shows” to back the new album

Where on Facebook might one see that?

BV mentions it on his page in the comments

Thanks. That certainly adds some credibility to the info.

At the end of the HD tour, the band had talked about touring again in the spring of 2025. But Mick wanted to make another record as they still had songs leftover. So that became the priority.

And let’s not forget, HD was over seven years in the making.

You can thank Andrew Watt for finally getting them all in the same room and helping pull together the two albums we’re going to get after years of frustration. The new album became more involved than they first intended, but we’ll likely get a better record because of it. Fair play to him.

But all of that took time and energy from everyone, and it delayed the tour they had originally envisioned. Too much time off isn’t great when arthritis is involved, either. Just because someone can play a few songs at a tribute show or whatnot doesn’t really prove much, does it? It’s not about general fitness. It’s about whether the fingers can still handle all the set list chords night after night for a full Stones tour.

Big difference.

Thank you for the update. Much appreciated.

I wonder why other people close to the band say 'it has nothing to do with Keith '?

I have also heard that he thinks it's too much time between gigs.

@georgelicks, do you have any knowledge about How many Keith songs on the album?

At least one according to Conan ("Some of Us" (are on our knees) ?) but yes, I'm surprised not more details are available. Especially since it seems they played a brief snippet of the songs before the press conference ? There's a video showing "Jealous Lover" and "Beautiful Delilah", the others must have received the same treatment ? As usual in "Stones circles", "mum" seems to be the word...

Averaging just over one show per week for four months on tour is not ideal for the guitarists who need to become more fluent during tours and knock off the rust, but Mick needs to save his voice.

Would be really cool if Some of Us is that track.

Good call.

I think you are right. It was Ghost Town. I was confused since it came out while Charlie was alive but was probably recorded at those old sessions.

The songs with Charlie were recorded in January and February 2019 at Henson studios, that's Jim Henson of Sesame Street and The Muppet Show. It was originally Charlie Chaplin Studios, which also includes Living In A Ghost Town. Jon Mayer bought it and it's now named Chaplin Studios.

Cheers John.

Looking at options for CD and vinyl... WTF, alternate yellow cover, vinyl and CD box set for $109.98.

The CD is $21.98.

That is ridiculous.

Try reading slower, mate. "You Got the Silver"," "Key to the Highway," and "Run Rudolph Run" don't use the same chords and riffs as all the songs in the band's setlist.

The only song he played from the band was "You Got The Silver" and he doesn't have to do finger gymnastics to play that one.

Did you watch Keith play in New York in November, arthritis wasn't a problem.

So like a week after playing you are insisting arthritis is the reason he can't commit. Have you looked into the type of arthritis Keith has on his fingers ( Heberdens nodes ) it's not painful after initial onset of inflammation, Keith's worked around it for decades, it's restrictive but not active.

The Stones were planning a tour, why would Keith at the last minute say hey guys sorry to waste your time and money but I've just remembered i can't play because of arthritis.

Well wouldn't you want him to play something different like the new tracks on FT.
Are you not a bit tired of the setlist.

Keith always finds a way, he adapts, it's incredible how he has continued with those fingers. Man i would love to see him if he just sang.

Where do you come up with this dribble? The band's schedule was adjusted years back to help all of them rest between shows and traveling. And Charlie needed more time between shows due to his back.

Mick's voice was never an issue for tour schedules.

It’s a shame that Keith isn’t as good with instruments as he used to be, but Mick will probably let him play on a track on the new album. Still, I think Keith can contribute some valuable ideas to the band.

Maybe a impossible question to answer but has anyone seen silver vinyl in the same way as gold? example the latest AC/DC re-issues. I would love to see silver in the same way.

Unlikely, as "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" moved to 4 nights a week (Monday - Thursday) in 2024.

For anyone not familiar with the mating habits of the Praying Mantis, take a look at this [en.wikipedia.org]

Yes, quite often the female eats the male during the sexual encounter.

Makes for a good song lyric? More Madonna than Jagger I'd have thought?
