Anyone know where we can find the full Conan interview?

Hendrik Mulder shared most of the interview on Facebook:

Part 01: [www.facebook.com]

Part 02: [www.facebook.com]

Part 03: [www.facebook.com]

So 'Some Of Us' is a Keith song. Or so Conan says - Keith doesn't seem to have a clue.

He was having trouble hearing Conan. Dude is 82 years old.

And then he said “I sing several.” So maybe there are three Keith leads again?

By singing on several songs, I think Keith meant lead and background vocals. Conan followed up by asking “but on Some of Us, you take the lead.” I’m paraphrasing, but that was the gist of his follow up question.

Watched two minutes of the first FB-clip. What is Conan doing? I don't think acting as a fan is a good method. You shouldn't start by sucking up to the interview object. Then you have already played your cards and the rest will follow...

Yeah, I know - I was only messing about.

I think when he said several, I got the impression he meant he sings on several (backing vocals etc). Could be wrong though.
I guess we could get 2 Keith songs.

...hope so, anyway!

A bit like Fallon, then. I don't dislike Conan, but he's a bit lightweight. Is Charlie Rose still around?

This is a fun time to be alive!
I listened to the two new songs on Spotify this morning, repeatedly, while getting ready for work. Just outstanding but here's my favorite part:
Spotify has an algorithm that kicks you into a playlist based on your initial song choice.
The first two spins led directly into Paint It, Black. The second two spins led to Brown Sugar. The third two spins led to Under My Thumb.

These new songs sound @#$%& FANTASTIC paired with these three old tunes.
2026 INCREDIBLE. Thank you Andrew Watt!

Fallon or Conan over disgraced pompous ass Rose.

I really like the new songs and tried to put them in a playlist so that I can listen to them in the car. Songs that go along well in my opinion. After trying around I ended up with this:

1. Star Star
2. In the Stars
3. Saint of Me
4. Rough and Twisted
5. Under my Thumb
6. Monlight Mile
7. All Down the Line
8. She's So Cold

I think that the real breakthrough for the Rolling Stones was the Blue & Lonesome album which change their recording philosophy. Prior to that for decades they recorded separately which impacted the vibe in the studio and chemistry in the band. Their albums in 80s, 90s and 00s became soulless with no interaction between band members. But during the B&L sessions they discovered that they still have the vibe when they work together. That's why they cut Hackney Diamonds and Foreign Tongues live in studio with amazing outcome. Everything thanks to the spontanous session that gave birth to B&L.

That's possibly the most far fetched observation I can think of.

Only for A BIGGER BANG was Ronnie not live in the room. Otherwise the band was playing live in a room.

Did you have only one speaker plugged in? No interaction between band members? You're determining who didn't do what based on the mixes of albums to determine if there was interaction? Mick Taylor isn't on Waiting On A Friend but that doesn't mean he didn't record on it.

Whatever, you think the last 40 years of albums except B&L and HD are soulless but you've continued to listen.

Maybe it's the zero dynamics brickwalled mastering making you hear what's missing from 1980-2005 albums.

This is not 60 Minutes. It’s a product launch that is supposed to be nothing but fluff, the format of which is like a talk show appearance. That’s why we get Conan and Fallon specialize.

What we saw at the Rolling Stones album launch event

Including, but not limited to: a new music video, multiple Mick Jagger doppelgängers, and one real Leonardo DiCaprio.

Great document, Conan didn't do a very good job based on this, Fallon was a lot better for HD. Now we need the promo intro with the individual clips !

Keith seemed really lost starting at 3:40 in Part 02, pretty hard to watch, for Ronnie and Mick too based on their reaction...guess he got confused by the "Some of Us" question and no one managed to help him out.

He was not confused. Just had trouble hearing, as happens when you’re 82.

So no word has been said about the possibility of returning to the stage?

I am curious about the song that Charlie is drumming on. It was supposedly recorded shortly before his death in 2021. Mick said it is a very fast punk song.

Keith simply misunderstood the question. And seemingly doesn't seem to know the name of the song. That has nothing to do with age as some seem to lean on it's just... a lot. At some point, yeah, age will have actually crippled him in to a rambling no clue as a lot of people have experienced when someone gets very old - but it's way more than simply misunderstanding a question and still answering it - it's absolute zero context, which did not happen.

Listen to the reverb or echo in that room - horrible choice for a room for this kind of... whatever it is.

From the AP article:

But will fans get to see them perform “Foreign Tongues” on a new tour? Maybe. “I would love to tour the album,” Jagger told AP. “I absolutely would love to. I hope to do it as soon as that’s possible.”

Not on stage but Mick told AP (probably when he was interviewed on his way out ?) that he (paraphrasing) "would love to tour the album and would like to do it as soon as possible" (see my previous post for the full quote)

Initially yes but then he rambles on incoherently for several minutes (edit - a minute and a half actually but it seemed to never end) to Ronnie and Mick's embarrassment. Again, hard to watch and someone should have helped him out of this way quicker, Conan was useless.

Failing to keep the microphone in front of his face isn’t rambling. It was awkward because he was inaudible.

Keith has always been chaotic in the interviews. He starts something and then changes the subject or stops in the mid sentence. Nothing new. It's Keith being Keith. I can see that all of them are in good spirits, they're clearly having fun.

Agreed. It’s a blast seeing them like that. I enjoyed the new songs a lot and I'm looking forward to the album release. Happy days!

Sure, he managed to insult Jagger also. I don't know if that compensates for anything though...

( I liked the jacket actually. Willy Wonka or not...)
