thought this was gonna be a thread about favorite opening bands at stones shows...

Yeah, "show openers" is a bit confusing.

I'd love to hear the punk energy of something like "She Said Yeah".

Probably a lot of people would actually recognize it from that Bleu de Chanel ad, not even realizing it was the Stones.

I always thought 'If You Can't Rock Me' would be a good opener, but it's kind of a deep cut and they probably need to be warmed up a bit to play it well.

From a lyrical point of view 'Not Fade Away' made sense as an opener for the VL tour, but I felt it lacked a certain instant excitement for stadiums.

On the other hand, I saw Bob Dylan open with it once, not long after a health scare in the late 90's, and it really hit the spot.

I saw 1989 and 1994 - and 1989, even on bootlegs etc from elsewhere was killer, as it ATLANTIC CITY - Ronnie killed it - but 1969's Jumpin' Jack Flash is tops.

The proper 1969 live version.

I saw them 34 times and I liked Satisfaction, Not Fade Away and Start Me Up the most.

Sympathy was a surprise, Under My Thumb was great too.

Jumpin' Jack Flash has to be the last or one of the two last songs, it's the song that made me addicted to the Rolling Stones and for me it's the best song ever.

6 - 78 Let it rock
7 - 81 Under my thumb
8 - 95 Satisfaction
9 - 13 Get Off of My Clous
