You're welcome.

What really pleased me was the memorial to Charlie on the door of RS Shop No. 9. Does anyone know how long it's been there?

(25 Aug 2021) ROLLING STONES' CARNABY STREET STORE CLOSED IN THE WAKE OF DRUMMER CHARLIE WATTS' DEATH
The Rolling Stones shop on Carnaby Street in London was closed Wednesday (25 AUGUST 2021), in the wake of the death of the band's drummer, Charlie Watts who passed away Tuesday, aged 80.
Watt's former bandmate Ronnie Wood also closed his art exhibition space, futher down Carnaby Street - the central London road that was the heart of the Swinging '60s.
Fans stopped to take photographs of the low key tribute to Watts - a black ribbon tied around the door handle and simple white lettering on the window stating: "Charlie Watts 02/06/1941 - 24/08/2021."

In your opinion, how much does Andrew Watt contribute to the guitar parts?
Nearly all I would suspect.

based on what?

because it sure sounds very obviously like keith and ronnie to me

plus we have a video clip of keith playing it in the studio

It's OBVIOUSLY Keith and Ron, what is it with this relentless boring negativity and hatred - if you've had enough and think everything is false and terrible and the Stones suck sh*t and Keith can't even wipe his own arse, why bother? Go and slag off some crap like Aerosmith instead.
This is EXACTLY the response I expect from a sycophantic fanboy. And if you can't just admit that the powers have seriously diminished and the legacy is being tarnished...then you haven't any perspective at all. Are you gratified by the atrocious 2024 shows? Are you? Because I'm not....my favorite all-time RNR band became a sad and really pathetic parody of itself, and I refuse to defend the money machine. And yea, That's for real. This isn't them. If you really feel that Keef and Ron can STILL play...In 2026..for $500 tix...Advice: Let them go. I prefer to listen to them when they were THE World's Greatest Rock And Roll Band. if you don't get it...OK. So much delusionary hoping wishing begging on this site. Anyone out there rational and more than average intelligence knows that the current 'band' is not THE ROLLING STONES......well, I appreciate that opposing opinions and viewpoints are not warmly received here. but a bit of critical thinking about the state of things surely cannot be a minority position. PS: I own 1,700 vinyl boots, 800 CD boots, and all the official stuff--many times over--and have seen them live in concert 84 times from 1975-2019. Make of that what you will. Thanks BV--long strange trip it's been...

Find a new band. No need for spreading misinformation just because you don't like them anymore.

Of course it's Keith and Ronnie playing on RAT.

Which U.S. cities have the Foreign Tongues ads been seen in?

Pictures 10+11 and 14+15 - [Instagram.com] - are Weehawken, New Jersey - Google StreetView . The skyline in the background of the pictures 10+11 looks photoshopped.

Thanks irix! Weehawken, wow.. there's a town I haven't thought about in a while.

Very cool! Weehawken, mostly known (to me) as the site of the Alexander Hamilton / Aaron Burr duel - I visited the duel site several years ago.

You mean the monument on Hamilton Avenue? Hamilton and Burr did not climb the cliff for their shoot out. The actual site is down below and currently occupied by railroad tracks. The ads for Foreign Tongues are posted on electronic billboards around the double helix, the name for the curving expressway around the Lincoln Tunnel.

Yes, I visited the site. Was it not clear?

Was I not clearer? The negativity on this site is sometimes just way over the top.

Agreed ... I visited the site, it was extremely clear ... not sure why someone would turn that into a negative thing.

Time for you to go, then.
Go on. F*ck off.
Then f*ck off some more.

It's your rudeness ("sycophantic fan boy" my arse) know-it-all negativity and bullshit (New Orleans in 24 was a great show) that is a stain on this board.
It'll be a better place without you.

The countdown is on
The new display at The Rolling Stones’ flagship store on Carnaby Street is ticking down to Tuesday, 5 May 2026
Is this the official announcement for the new album Foreign Tongues?
Maybe even a brand new single dropping that day — a second taste after “Rough & Twisted”?
Stones fans: eyes peeled. History in the making.
Album supposedly lands 10 July 2026

Careful - you'll have people claiming The Fanbase Files made that up :'D

In all seriousness though, this is great. So it looks like Tuesday will be the official announcement! Great stuff grinning smiley

If 06d:06h:45m is 29-Apr-2026, 10:30 BST, then the countdown would lead to 05-May-2026, 17:15 BST.

Where did you see the Milano billboard mentioned?

What's this building, left in the background? But this scene might be photoshopped.

[Instagram.com]

Great catch, I could have bet my balls that it was genuine!

Now, do you think they staged the billboard and photoshopped the church (sorry, the Cathedral) or did they add the billboaed to a Milano postcard?

And what is the exact translation of the billboard? My Italian is not very fluent

There is thing called supply and demand. The ticket price is simply a function of that and why wouldn't they take what the market is willing to pay? You're in the camp that would not ay that so don't and stay home. Simple

I just hope the countdown isn't for the digital release of Rough and Twisted. I want to like that song but it's just not growing on me....no chorus, no melody...sound and vocal too filtered, like Blue & Lonesome. Hoping its a new true single from the new album and R&T is just a one off promotion thing

RAT is the first track on the album. It's been mentioned a dozen times here, and there are still people who think it won't be on the album—unbelievable.
At this point, the Stones won't waste any tracks by releasing them as standalone singles, so I think the album will have 10 tracks, leaving them with another 10 to save for another album in a couple of years.

Twenty years ago, they would have released it all together, but then the fans complain that it's too long, yet everyone buys that longer version. And if there were another version with 30 tracks, they'd buy that one too, then make lists of favorites—and out of 100 cases, you wouldn't find two identical lists.

Not there, since the Cockroaches Vinyl was released later, on 11-Apr-2026.

Just received a snippet from the Cockroaches Whatsapp of the new track... presumably the single on Tues.

Got a Riff and a bit of Mick ooh-ing and aah-ing - Pop-Rock as Georgelicks predicted. Tiny bit more piano on the Cockroaches Whatsapp version (16 seconds) compared to the Rolling Stones Whatsapp 12 second snippet.
